I bought this neat little stand and thought I'd share a quick review with the forum.
This is the Nest stand from Bluelounge. It's supposedly designed for the iPad, but it's on the smaller side--I feel it's proportioned perfectly for the Note. The stand consists of a square bowl with a rubber lip on which you can rest the phone to hold it at a slight angle. On the opposite side of the stand is an easel that pulls out to hold the phone at a steeper angle. You can then use the bowl to hold little odds and ends.
Little rubber feet on the bottom keep it from sliding around. The slide-out tray is very substantial.
The tray holds the phone at a steep angle for watching video. In this position, the middle of the back of the phone is anchored against the rubber that lines the top of the Nest, so it won't slip around. The lip of the tray doesn't obscure the screen.
By closing up the tray and resting the phone on top of the Nest, you have the perfect angle to keep the phone accessible when you're working at a desk or table. Hey... crosswords are work!
There is room in the bowl part to stash a few small items you want to keep handy. I like to put the Nest on my nightstand and let it hold my chapstick and earbuds. At work, it could store USB drives or candy. And I can see this being great for travel to keep change, keys or key cards, jewelry, and other small items in one spot in your hotel room. As you can see, the bowl is not large; it won't hold a wallet or sunglasses.
This is a really simple little tool, but it's very well made. I bought mine on Amazon.
