Rezound and KFHD

Is there a way to WiFi Tether my Kindle Fire HD to my Rezound? I tried FoxFi, but it's not working. Does the Rezound or the KFHD need to be rooted? Neither of them are, and I'm not that much of a techie. I have tried googling it, but alot of the information i am finding seems to be old.
Thanks.

You need to root your Rezound to use it as a Wireless AP for your Kindle, HTC/Verizon has it locked down so no utility will allow it to work stock other then there own (which may result in a charge to you). If you root you can use Wireless Tether and it works fairly well. You shouldn't have to root the Kindle.
