Rezound GPU

i didn't read that article but did it mention that the GPU in the G-Nex is over clocked which makes it pretty even with our ReZound.

It's clocked higher by default since its running the OMAP 4460. It made a difference no doubt but since its running a higher resolution than the RAZR it ended up being similar to the RAZR in terms of performance. The Rezound was slightly higher but beat it by quite a margin in another, even with all that bloatware, I can only imagine how great itll do running a stock 4.0

The faster GPU is negated by the higher resolution. In all the benchmarks I have read over several reviews the Razr and the Rezound are faster overall than the Galaxy Nexus. Whether that translates to faster real world use remains to be seen.

I'm sure the Galaxy Nexus would be the faster performer in real world use since it has no bloatware, running a new improved?Android OS and its hardware accelerated. Given those factors, the others should outperform it if they were running the same setup.

The wishful thinking is almost to a point were it's disgusting.

The apps that come preloaded on the phone aren't running in the background and therefore won't hold your phone back. All it does it take up space. Assuming that the slower gpu on the nexus would handle everything better based on nothing is kind of a stretch

For pure power none of the current gpu's in any Android device comes close to the gpu in the 4S. Wether all that power gets put to good use is another matter.

+1

IMO, the iPhone 4s is a waste of time considering it's still 3G. It's the same screen as iPhone 4. It's a clear screen but small in comparison. The Rezound has the highest PPI. and it shows!!!

It would probably do you well to take a look at EarlyMon's posts on the subject. He's broken down both GPU's strengths and weaknesses, and depending on the user's case, one can be better than the other.

As fun as speculation is, even educated speculation based on any given number of assumptions, i've lived long enough to see things not live up to what it was on paper. I'm not nearly arrogant enough to say "this" or "that" is better without actually experiencing it for myself. Either side could be right. Who knows? We won't know until 1) the nexus lte comes out and 2) when the rezound gets an official build of ICS

When you have both devices with ics loaded up side by side doing real world tests, it'll be a more interesting conversation

and to put it in perspective, they're both multiple times faster and better than my old HTC Imagio I was using 9 months ago. However; for me the removable SDHC card is the tie breaker.

How does the rezounds gpu hold up to the iPhone 4s?
No comparison, the A5's GPU dominates any GPU out there, yes even the overhyped tegra 3.

I agree 100%. I cam only hope it will be the better device seeing the history but the Nexus was according to Google optimized to run 4.0. One thing however, the Rezound as it stands is the better performer in graphics from the big 3.
