Rezound now $199 Verizon Wireless Online

I believe that any phones purchased after 11/15 have, on the receipt, up until Jan. 15th to be returned for the $35 restocking fee. Seems to me that with the price drop to $199 (from $299), they should be willing to at least refund the difference (minus the restocking fee) - i.e., they should be willing to give back $65. Otherwise, what's to stop me from going to the store, returning it, getting back my $299 (minus $35), then buying the phone back for $199? I still net $65, either way.
True. And actually, since they would then be stuck with a phone they can't sell as new, they'd be better off just giving you the full $100. It's worth pointing this out, because they know this, too.

Just called, pointed out the price drop and that I was within the window (which I did confirm is the 15th), and after an actually nice conversation with the customer service rep, I did get the full $100 credit to my account - no hassle! Badabing!

When did you purchase?

Just found out if you purchased your phone AFTER Nov 15th you can return it, pay the restocking fee, and get one at the new $199.00 price. You can't get a credit (at least that's what I was told) but I figure some people will be fine with paying $35.00 to get a $100 credit AND a new phone.

Exactly what I'm gonna do Goat... Was told over phone I couldn't get the $100 credit right off but I was within my rights to return and repurchase at lower cost. I'll be going to the corp. store tmw.

I just called and received the $100 credit. It took about 15 minutes because he had to check with different departments but I had no issue. I bought mine December 4th and originally he said that I had to be within a 14 day window but then I told him that Verizon had the extended return period until January 15th. He put me on hold and came back and said credit had been applied. :)

So Amazon has this phone for $150. Is there a benefit buying from the Verizon store? I currently have the HTC DINC

That price is only if you are starting a new contract. For existing contracts its a ridiculous $249.

I've been checking there often to see if the price is being updated but it is not.

I was an existing customer and see the price of $199 plus they price matched against the $249 I originally paid and I bought it on Dec 15th.

November 29th. You're correct - and that was my original plan (as I noted earlier), but the rep on the phone was actually really helpful and we didn't even bother talking about going into the store and running with the restocking fee. Now, I've been a Verizon Wireless customer for 11 years, and he did note this a few times on the call, so that "loyalty" may have come into play when he was putting me on hold and confirming what he'd be able to do - or not do - for me.

Having said that, it's safe to say that anyone that purchased the Rezound between 11/15 and 12/28 should have until Monday to get at least $65/credit.

Also, do make sure that if you bought the phone, originally, with a "new every 2" $50 discount, that should also be applied to the "new" $199 purchase price (so you should only expect to pay $149).

Wonder if I should call back up and make argument for that other $50. I paid the $249 upgrade price in the store, so if $199 is the new non-promotional price, then you would think I'd have paid $149 which as others have pointed out would net me a $65 return if I were to return the Rezound and repurchase it.

Well CS wouldn't do it for me over the phone so I went into a Corp. store... Told them I had boot-looped twice(I know there is a fix in here for that and I did it but they dont know that;)), which I had, and wanted to exchange/return the phone for a new one. They did that and credited my account $100... No restocking fee! Ka-ching! :D

I bought 3 phones early December from the local Verizon store. Both Rezound phones were on corp discount, and i have already received the gift card/rebate for the 3rd phone. Last Saturday I called 611 and they of course said it's outside their 2-week window for the $199 price-match. The CSR checked with the supr there and gave me a $50 credit/parting gift though (good enough, #happy). Bye.

I paid 270 for my nexus, long story short got the rezound it was an even exchange. The following monday the price dropped on the rezound.

Went to a verizon store and all they could do was credit me the 70 bucks. had to call verizon to get the other 30.

I only paid 170 for my phone :D

I think I might be getting the rezound, so far so good about the info I have recieved on this phone, any major known issues with the rezound before I purchase?

Nothing that can't be fixed by reading up on these forums and asking questions! It's a sick @ss phone! :D

All I'm sayin' is, I would be PISSED OFF if I'd gotten the Razr instead of the Rezound. Not just for all the reasons that I like the Rezound, but a) Verizon has now reduced the price of the Razr to $199 as well - but after the January 15th cutoff date so there's no chance of a price-matching refund, b) they're now making the Razr in 3 different colors, and c) the impending release of the Razr Maxx with its huge battery (since we all are obviously concerned about a 4g phone and its battery life, and the original Razr without an option to remove the stock and replace with an extended).

My advice to to you Mr roach is to call customer service on your free time and raise hell! Lol foreal I would...just saw a commercial on TV bout the price drop.. nice to see phones are reaching l reasonable prices at least.

I just picked mine up on Friday at a Vzw corporate store. I will have to call *611 and see if they will match the price drop.

Seriously? I picked my rezound up last week from a corporate store and got it for 200.00 bucks! That was about a week ago. I shopped online, saw the price and went into the store and asked if they could match the price, they happily did so. (Shrugs)
