Root Rezound ROM advice

Recently switched to Rezound from a rooted Droid 1 and I'm lovin' it! Finally getting around to rooting the little bugger, and I could use a little advice on which ROM to pick, as I don't recognize any from my Droid days.

I don't need a lot of bells and whistles - mostly, I just want unlock my phone's full capabilities (wifi hotspot, come to papa!), cut out the bloat (the thing has a lot of bloat), and maybe overclock it a bit.

Other than that, I want it to be fast(er), stable, and low maintenance. What ROM should I begin the adventure with? All advice is greatly appreciated.
 
Good to know about the OC issue. I can live w/out OCing, if stability is a problem - the phone is so bleeping fast already...
 
I use CleanROM 1.7.5 with Incredikernel beta3-1. Totally stable for me and the overclock to 1800MHz makes the phone snappier in some places. I use SetCPU, paid version, for overclocking. Very happy with battery life (I have the extended battery).

UPDATE Mar 12... I've had 3 boot loops in 2 weeks so maybe this combo isn't as stable as I thought. SetCPU now removed and "screen off" overclock set at 1500MHz since it was screen off when the phone crapped out.

i personally like the ICS roms. they are however,works in progress for the most part,and as such,may have small issues,tho very stable for me. currently im on nilsp's business sense. smooth and fast,has a nice mild dark theme.

i havent really felt a need to OC my 1.5 mhz processor :eek: for 95% of what i use my phone for on a daily basis,i dont really see any benefits of an OC,with the disadvantage of faster battery drain. for a while i was actually using setcpu to underclock to about 1000hz when not plugged in,but i stopped using it as setcpu doesnt seem to me to be 100% stable with the dual core processor.

the rezound is a really fast,smooth phone right out of the box despite all its bloatware and overly comlex sense UI. not quite apples and oranges compared to the OG with its 600hz processor and no ram. i had one of those as well,and used to OC it to about 1000,wich helpoed it a bunch.

just look thru the rom list and threads and holler if you have any questions :cool:
