Help Ring once

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a setting/profile/app for changing the ring mode to 'one ring only', and I haven't managed to find any so far.

Have you seen something similar?

ring length is determined by your carrier. If the ringtone is shorter than that length, then it will be looped until that length Is reached.

Not sure of an app that would stop the loop but it would need to run the whole time, if only as an event listening service.

A work around could be to edit a ring tone so that it is the same length as the ring. You could add silence after the tone itself.

There may be better options but I don't know them

Thanks for the info. I thought the number of rings is phone dependent, because on my previous phone I had a profile like that.

I tried to play around with the ANDROID_LOOP variable. No results :-(

I don't know exactly what your old phone did, but yeah its the carrier who decides how many rings before divert to voicemail or phone is off message. Its generally about 30 seconds.
