Ringing on Startup

Hi, my phone likes to make an odd ringing sound once or twice after the VM splash screen. I read another post, for another phone, saying it could be that the SD card notifications are on. But I don't see anything in the Sound menu to turn it off. Any ideas?

Try putting your phone on vibrate?

I think the sound you are asking about is a female voice that's saying, "Virgin Mobile!" during the bootup splashscreen. It is annoying, other people hate hearing it at startup.
I would suggest getting this free app from the Playstore. Android Assistant+18 by Aaron. Go into the apps 'settings' screen and tick the box next to "startup silent".
