Help Ringing sound at shutoff

On my X when I shut the phone off (mostly to reboot occasionally) the phone rings - like an old-style ringtone - right before it shuts off.

This is annoying. My OG Droid didn't do this. Is there a way to turn off this ring - or change it to something less obnoxious?

Okay, can someone at least verify that their phone also makes this ringing sound at shutdown ?
