Help Ringtone how-to

Newbie
Hello, everyone!

I just got my Epic 4G yesterday!

Can anyone tell me the (simple) steps to follow to load a new ringtone file(s) to my Epic?
I have the file in my Mac. What file type should it be? What folder should I put it into?
I previously owned a PalmPre and it was quite simple...

Thanks so much!

If you make a file called "notifications" in your media file (sdcard/media/audio/notifications) you can put files there that can be used for any notification...text, email, etc.

....or...

You can use Ringo Pro to manage your notifications. Ringo Pro allows you to select any music file on your phone to assign to individual contacts calls and text messages. A nice feature allows you to choose how long your SMS ringtones play. That way you don't end up playing the entire mp3 when a text comes in. It also allows you to send a particular contact straight to voicemail
