Ringtone question

Okay so I downloaded some ringtones from VCast by Verizon. I got a call yesterday when my phone was plugged into my lap top and noticed it was not at all the ringtone it should be. Then got a call later on with the phone not attached to the lap top and it was my ringtone.

Normal or no?

Depending on where you saved the ringtone. If it's saved on the SD card and its mounted or not available for the phone to read your ringtone will not be the right one or the one you have selected.

Excellent observation.

... and if he is connected in USB Mass Storage mode neither the SD card nor the SD-Ext card will be available. No mater which card he puts them on they will not be available. He will get the default ringtone.

(The Files app shows
SD card as Internal phone storage and
SD-Ext card as SD Card
[don't kill the messenger].)
