Help Ringtone Trimmer Missing

[AndyA]

When in the HTC music app, I select Menu/Set as Ringtone - the only 2 options it gives me is Phone Ringtone or Contact Ringtone. There is no trimmer option. Any ideas how to get to that option? I assumed it was standard. (Yes, I know I could download Ringdroid but if the built-in app works, all the better.) Thanks!

I believe certain songs you are not allowed to trim. That is what I have found. Many songs I have the option and others I do not.

Good to know. Of course, I always have to ask why. Anyone know what the criteria is for what songs have that option and what songs don't?

Anybody know why I set my ringer using the song trimmer, and it only sticks until the phone is rebooted? After that it goes back to a boring stock ringer.
