Root Ringtone will not play

I'm using MIUI CyanogenMod and my phone's ringtone will not play at all. It will not play it no matter what it is set on; all it does is vibrate. i have re-flashed different roms and it still never works. It's getting to be very annoying

Can you play the ringtone on the phone at all? If you have a file manager you can navigate to the ringtone and make sure it's playable. I've not had an issue with my ringtones. I just wish they were louder.

It plays it if i click on it in the ringtone selector, but it wont ever play whenever someone calls. it just vibrates for a call. The text message ringtone works fine.

You've completely wiped (wiping everythign except Sd card multiple times) and tried other ROMS and it still gives you this issue?
