Ringtones dissappeared

Sorry if this is considered a double post but I realized that my title was not helpful for me getting some help.

My ringtone seems to have reset itself to something I haven't choosen.
I have trouble hearing high pitch sounds so this is important.
I need a ringtone that I will notice.

I go to sound & display and when I hit "Phone Ringtone" the only options are OK or Cancel.

Same result using the "personalize" setting.

Where did my ringtones go????

Please help I do not want to reset to factory and loose the few settings I have.

I finally shut the phone off (not reset) and when I powered up again my ringtones were there.

I still don't know why they dissappeared???

Downloaded some Johnny Cash ringtones as an app. Can anyone tell me how to get them so I can use one for my ringtone?

You just open music as if you are going to play the song, press the menu button & theres an option there to set as ringtone.

There is an app on market place called tone picker, its free & it lets you use music files for ringtones & sms notifications.

You can also assign ringtones using Astro File Manager.
