Help Ringtones Not Showing Up

Alright. So My ringtones had previously worked...decided to make a few more. threw them in the right folders....go into the settings and they are not there....i did what someone recommended and delete the whole folder (media) and re add them to the SD Card. Now none of them are showing up. yet i can play them from AStro....help

just to be more clear.....those ringtones are all showing in the ringtone selection screens...just not notifications, sms, gmail, yahoo ect...so they work as ringtones but nothing else? hmmm
