Ringtones & Notifications Question

is there a way to have a seperate notification sound for my email (not gmail), & voicemail, if so how?

Im running Fresh 1.1 and message/text notifications is the only one that uses the "major" sound no matter which notification sound I set.
All the others will use the selected notification sound , am I missing a setting somewhere?

yes, you can have a dif sound for messages, & a dif sound for email, but no dif sound for voicemail

I've got the phone set to vibrate but I only want it to vibrate for phone calls and text messages - how do I turn it off for e-mails coming in?

Open your email and go to the settings and scroll to the bottom. It allows you to turn off vibration.

Thanks. I have to tell you that I contacted Motorola support and they told me it wasn't possible to do what you just said I can do.

How about helping me with two other questions then?

How do I set the calendar so it doesn't change the times of meetings when I cross time zones?

Can I set my e-mail so that it returns to the inbox instead of opening the next message when I delete the one I'm working on?

i did manage to do it, but by accident, then couldn't duplicate the action. So i went to the Market and downloaded Tonepicker and it enables me to set any sound clip or music for anything that uses one.

I have a Sprint HTC hero which is not quite the same as the motorola you have. My calendar app and email app are HTC specific and not the same as yours. You need to post that question in the correct motorola phone forum for the phone you have.

I'll try the tone picker and see how well it works. Thanks!
