I'd like to know too.
yes, you can have a dif sound for messages, & a dif sound for email, but no dif sound for voicemailIm running Fresh 1.1 and message/text notifications is the only one that uses the "major" sound no matter which notification sound I set.
All the others will use the selected notification sound , am I missing a setting somewhere?
Dug a little deeper in message settings , found it , thanks.yes, you can have a dif sound for messages, & a dif sound for email, but no dif sound for voicemail

I've got the phone set to vibrate but I only want it to vibrate for phone calls and text messages - how do I turn it off for e-mails coming in?
Thanks. I have to tell you that I contacted Motorola support and they told me it wasn't possible to do what you just said I can do.
How about helping me with two other questions then?
How do I set the calendar so it doesn't change the times of meetings when I cross time zones?
Can I set my e-mail so that it returns to the inbox instead of opening the next message when I delete the one I'm working on?

is there a way to have a seperate notification sound for my email (not gmail), & voicemail, if so how?

i did manage to do it, but by accident, then couldn't duplicate the action. So i went to the Market and downloaded Tonepicker and it enables me to set any sound clip or music for anything that uses one.
