Help Ringtones

Hi,
how do i hear the ringtones before setting it. i went to Settings->Sounds->Phone Ringtones.
It shows me the list of ringtones. When i tap on one, it doesn't play so that I can hear it before i apply it. even tapping the Menu button on this screen does not have an option of playing the ringtone. the only option i see is the 'Apply' button.

Or is there some other way of hearing the ringtone and then applying it??

i just tried mine and it plays the tone so that i can preview it. i dont really use the stock ringtones. I use the zedge app to download ringtones and wallpapers. maybe this app will let you preview the original ringtones as it moves the ones you download to your ringtone folder on your phone (atleast that is where mine go so when i do menu-settings-sound-phone ringtone all my downloaded tones are there and i just tap that circle next to the name, even the stock ones and it plays)

When i do setting-sound-phone ringtone, i get a list of ringtones and circle against each. when i tap on a ringtone, the circle gets green. At the bottom of the screen, i see a 'Apply'. but there is no preview option.
Neither does it play the ringtone on tapping it.
what could be be wrong?

ok, i think i have solved it.
i went to settings-sounds-volume and found that the 'Media' volume was set to 0.
took a chance and increased it.
now i can her the preview of the ringtones when i tap on one in the settings-phone ringtones.

i didnt even think of the media volume as mine is always on (my daughter likes to watch tv shows on my phone)
