Ringtones

I am trying to use a custom mp3 ringtone. On my HTC Inspire I just made a folder on the sdcard for notifications and it was automatically added to the list of available ringtones. Not so on my Iconia Tab A500. So where do I put them to be able to use them?

Not sure if it's the same with your Acer but my tablet doesn't have a dialer app so ringtones are not available...however you can try creating a Ringtones folder on your internal sd card rather than a notifications folder. Hopefully that'll fix it.

If you are looking to make a custom notification tone, you need to make sure the notifications folder is in the /sdcard partition, which is not the external MicroSD card. If you have in on the SD card, just use the file manager to copy it to the internal partition.
