Root roaming because of ROM?

so the last few days everywhere i go that i frequently go to, im in roaming... this happen with 2.45 and with this 2.57... any ideas? buddy of mine said it has something to do with me flashing ROMs so much? i dont see how but...

ROMS shouldnt effect your roaming. Maybe update you PRL and profiles would help

yep i agree. roms for the most part do not have any play with radio's or roaming. what most roms do show is that they will show the true 3g signal strength. on a stock rom the 3g signal that is shown in the notification bar only shows you that you have a signal. but most roms now, show your true signal strength. it will show you that you have 1x or 3g. as far as roaming goes like rxpert says try and update your prl and profile.

another option is to upgrade your radios. go here [ Radios ][ 9-5 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers and flash the radio combo (the first one on the op). but please read this before doing so:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...before-you-flash-your-radios-read-thread.html. but do not be alarmed about the warnings. it is a very small posibilty that you could loose your wimax keys. i just want to let you know what you are gettting into.

now updating your radios may or may not have any effect on your phone. i have updated to the latest and i have not seen much difference in signal strength or battery life.
