Accessories Rocketfish Mobile Vehicle Mount?

Anyone had much success with the Rocketfish Mobile Vehicle Mount? I bought mine today at Best Buy, using it on a naked Evo -- can barely get it to hold the Evo, and the device seems to come out way too easily. Size is not an issue, it can accommodate a larger device. The gripping mechanism just seems poorly designed. Anyway getting this to grip well?

I'm look to get a car mount that eventually works well with Otterbox Commuter case, any suggestions? Thanks.

Nah, that's different, my mount (from that post) is an odd sticky-disc device. The Rocketfish is a ratcheting kind of bracket mount. OP, you'd probably be better off finding a mount that has cushioning on the inside of the bracket instead of that bare plastic that the Rocketfish has, or if it doesn't have cushioning, at least having the front of each brackets curve a little inward to keep the Evo from falling forward.

And Radio Shack sells a Bracketron version of the mount from my post, but it's $20 instead of the $30 from BB. It grips the bare Evo fine, but for some reason, the sticky disc could not hold on to it well when it was in a Seidio case: Bracketron MobileDock Dash Mount : GPS accessories and manuals | RadioShack.com .
