Grreetings from Lakewood,
I finally made the plunge over Christmas (think Polar Bear club) and picked up an HTC Hero at Sprint. These are my intended uses:
Synch with:
Comcast email account (done)
Work email and calendar (Fed enterprise Lotus Notes - Set to pick up only the last 20 via SSL IMAP)
Home PC Outlook contacts and calendar (still working on the gmail calendar synch and sharing calendars).
