Recovery: 1. Turn the phone off.
2. Hold down the volume-down, green call button, and red end/power buttons all at once and hold them down until the phone says "RECOVERY MODE...." in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
3. The phone will look like its booting up, then you will have an exclamation point and a phone in the middle of the screen. Wait a few seconds, then press menu. ALL YOUR USER DATA/APPS WILL BE DELETED. The phone will reboot like a fresh install.

press menu, ADW settings, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. What version of adw does it say you are running?

i do have a question that slightly not related... for some reason I'm no getting a pop up asking me to grant SU permission for root explorer? do you think think you could help with that.

i already have root and i already adb pushed the 2.2.2 SU thanks to bearfan85... but it just comes up and says it can not gain root access

Well, yes and no. You have a rooted kernal, so you can modify anything you want thru adb. However you do not have root for apps. This is the method I used to root when I first tested the rom. I have used it in every version, as well as the OTA Tweaked roms. It was originally posted by Nu11u5 on his thread for rooting the ota. This will write su to /system/xbin, as well as paste superuser 2.2.2 to /system/app. This will not hurt anything. In fact, I used it when I flashed to this rom, this morning ;)

hmmm... I don't know. I've used it on every rooted rom based off the ota with absolutely no issue. I used it on this rom this morning. In fact, I have root explorer working, as well as AdFree, Better Terminal and PowerOff widget.

well it has to be something on my part because it seems like every other app gets root permission i even did the wifi fix that just came out working... mater of fact i just re installed it an I'm getting a forced close on root explorer.

Well, the worst case scenario is you push the files, and still don't have root, so you are right where you are right now. The best case scenario, you get root for all apps. Or it could be the version of root explorer you are using. Either way, you don't stand to lose anything by pushing the files.

yea ill do that... i was think it was the version. so ill get an older version and check then ill make sure i got the new version
