no its supposed to show the standard 1.6 boot up which is a samsung logo, turn off phone, boot into recovery, Vol Down + Send + End
 
Update on Development: Just did a system recovery and did not get asked to choose launcher so I assume that is fixed, also have new ADW. I also pushed the market from galaxy but it may not work when you flash. Will post rom later. Dont have a force close on dialer. Any recommendations for the update?
 
is there any way to modify framework-res.apk to black out the clock and maybe the battery indicator in the status bar? I use widgets for both which both give more info than the status bar can. Maybe an optional file that users could push if they wanted. Glad to hear twlauncher has been removed! :)
 
since samsung completely messed up the framework-res.apk to get touchwiz to work properly, we no one knows where the battery color file is, as for the battery I could probably replace the files with a black icon or delete the files in general however that could cause problems with the framework and not booting. I will look into it though
 
Sweeeeet. Also, I don't know if I am a minority on this one, but I'm not a big fan of touchwiz browser. Only question is what to replace it with...
 
ok well I took a look into the clock thing, and while it is probably possible, the proper file isnt where it should be and better men than I have tried to change it. As for the browser Microhaxo tried to change it with better browser but it didnt work for him.
 
good/bad news I have better browser pushed and touchwizbrowser uninstalled, but currently I get a force close when I click on anything so it looks like we are gunna have to stay with touchwizbrowser
 
I currently have xscopeG installed to system/app and touchwiz browser out. Its a pay app which runs alot like chrome
 
I did notice your odin image didn't have a kernal in it. So anyone looking to root has to flash the rooted kernal. Also I have been using bh_man recovery for adb access. Can you include it in the next image?
 
I will look into including that in the next one, im putting out an update with Root and twlauncher removed as we speak, i didnt include it on the last one because there were so many issues with getting root to work properly but it is included along with the proper root fix in it

I've used it on all versions of this rom and on OTA Tweaked v2 and v3 with no bugs, fc's or other issues. I can also send it on aim (pretty sure you can still transfer files on aim, just haven't used it in forever...)

I still prefer the free version of xScope gl over the other browsers. Really though the biggest feature I like is easy access to changing the user agent.

Too bad the newest version doesn't support 1.6 or older. ****ing Samsung.
 
actually I'm pretty sure 1.6 is still being supported. I got an update like last week. I know there is another version for eclair and beyond. I could be wrong, though...
