Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

I've found using the USB charger makes battery life much longer but it does take alot longer compared to standard one.

Most data cables have a 3 ohm drop per 6ft.
Put a meter on the leads with a thin wire in the clip.
I make my own charge cables for this reason.

I found the stock data cable dropped to 250ma.
Using a 1amp charger and a 750ma load.

Resistance wire, great for data bad for charging.

Do you have any suggestions for buying the proper cable to charge this phone? Or a link to detailed instructions on how to make one?

But there is nothing better than a hijack by the snorks! I fully approve of this thread hijack! By the way he-man is still shown on qubo! Sucks being old but great having memories lol.

I saw the snorks on about 2 years ago. I had to watch a couple of episodes. Those little things are so cute =p It is fun to watch that stuff you grew up on. But now I must bring up one of my favorite classics. Fraggle Rock! "down in fraggle rock"

I've got all the fraggle rock seasons on dvd... I want my kids to experience their awesomeness as I did. :)

I have read a couple of posts about enabling Zram. I'm a NOOB but I roughly understand Zram...my question has everyone using BO enabled their Zram? Does it help in making the AnTuTu Score higher? What kind of difference can if make in performance?

+1
Wanna know that as well

Thanks

By the way just got a 7301 on my AnTuTu

I have it enabled and I'll be honest, I don't know if it makes a difference with performance. I can't see/notice any performance change and my Antutu scores are the same, so you're guess is as good as mine. Zram is a tad confusing for me.. I get that it's a better RAM method, but I'm not sure what the true benefits are (like stats or figures).

I mean, Wiki says this:
zRam is an available feature for certain distributions of Linux, that was previously called "compcache". It increases performance by avoiding paging on disk and instead uses a compressed block device in RAM in which paging takes place until it is necessary to use the swap space on the hard disk drive. Since using RAM is faster than using disks, zRam allows Linux to make more use of RAM when swapping/paging is required, especially on older computers with less RAM installed.

But WTF does that mean in layman's terms for us? It looks like it benefits older devices more, so how much can it really offer us with a newer, monster of a device?

OK I think I get that. Let's jump into Linux on computers for a bit. Back when we had 32 bit kernels and max of 512 ram memory, we used a swap partition on a hard drive to help with memory. Later as we got into 64 bit computing (dual core processors) and a gig of memory, we started worrying less and less about swap and in Linux, swapiness settings and more about the speed of the ram in our boxes.... so yes, I would say this may not help if you have a dual core processor with lots of ram but if you have an older device that is single core with less ram, this would probably benefit you.

Do tell how did you get it
Using this awesome ROM (2.0 not 3.0, yet...) and lagfree. I had my Rom Toolbox set for powersave and I got a 2130...changed it to lagfree and knocked it out of the park! One thing I liked about powersave is the battery life was great...still tweeking to get the right mix of performance and battery life. I spend about half of my day on here reading treads and taking notes from the experts like MT, Mr B206, Admin, IMUcarmen...and the rest....

cool....I had seen a few posts about lagfree what are you using for your scheduler? I am on CFQ and SAv2 Governor

I'm a little green at this...."scheduler"? I am using Rom Toolbox to set my Governor to "lagfree". Just for sake of discussion what is CFQ and SAv2?

CFQ is the scheduler and SAv2 is SmartAss v 2 for governor.

More info in link above about schedulers

So right now I am testing Lagfree and Noop to see what numbers I get.

Everytime, I do a reboot in between
