Yeah, It's like porting full ICS into this cellphone. I need every brain and every person's help here to this thing. Making a new thread about this. All of you, switch & comment there....

Hey.. just noticed that the mail app is missing, I cant add my office email or any other imap/exchange account..

If possible can anyone tell me how can i do that?

Either download another IMAP client, or else wait for the stable release. I'll include that Application for you.

Another thing I noticed.. FM Radio not working. :-( You might want to look into this before the stable release.

I tried too methods for the IMEI installation. Am giving the link:

1st:
IMEI,write IMEI ,lost IMEI ,fastcardtech ,Android phone.
Should work. If not, try step 2 :)

2nd:
SN WRITE STATION TOOL for imei

The 2nd step was the one which actually worked for me. But feel free to ask, if it didn't work for you.

P.S- By any chance, where you using MTK CPU TEST app from market?? :(

Also the 2nd step needs to be done with a fresh system. So if you are gonna try pkotenetwork's method of imei replacement, please make a backup of the original file in the nvram directory. Copy it back into the original folder if replacing the file by pkotenetwork's method didn't work, before trying with the tools provided in my post. :)

once its all over, backup the imei file to your computer for safekeeping :p
 
Invalid IMEI- means the imei file is corrupted. So you are actually going to change the corrupt file with a proper file. Mine got corrupted somehow, and I used step 2 for adding the nrw file in. now my phone works great :D

how to take back up of IMEI file?
in which folder i should look for it??

i dont have problem right now....but its always good to have back up...just in case.

ok.....here it is....


Run root explorer and Copy the file from
:::::: /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001 (or similar)
(system need r/w need to be on)

1st step didnt work for me also.
2nd step, i downloaded MTK 6516 flashtool and watched the video, in that they are using GPGD dragon tool also to detect Mobile., i couldnt download that tool anywhere, if u have any link, kindly help in this regard.

Btw....no files in the data folder?? How is it possible?? Did you check root access to your file explorer??

Thaks for posting that link, now i downloaded the MTK IMEI wirtter, but i cant generate the MP0B_001 ? What port , mode and dual IMEI i need to select ? can you generate and give me file ? i have my original IMEI number..!! how i send you that ? here is my mail id: elavarasan.ela@gmail.com
 
u dont need to replace the file manually. Connect the phone by usb to the laptop after switching off. Notice the com port of the terminal you used for connecting. open the application, select the same com port, and enter the imei nos of the phone...and install. That should do it. Btw a tutorial for this was already given in the earlier link that I posted bout installing the imei.
