Root ROM Advise

Newbie
OK guys, I'm newly rooted and I installed Myn's twopointtwo, it's nice, and fast....but I lost a few things I really liked (i.e. the htc music player, sprint tv and a few others) also I'm not a huge fan of the DARK look. It's a little too dark for me.

SO.....what I'm looking for is a rom that close to the stock EVO rom but with some enhancements, would love to see the Hulu app, swype, and some other goodies. What do you advise me to look at.

Thanks in advance!

Yea you can still use all the bloatware if you want, and themes are the way to go, I change mine all the time. You can use an alerantive launcher such as adw.launcher or launcher pro and there are themes all over the market

Try Fresh. It's the one I currently use and it works great.

Just tried fresh, very stock looking. Really like it. I'm not really sure of the differences between the stock and warm but I think I'll run with warm. Feeling like I should have just left the stock ROM installed not really sure what I've gained with the custom ROM.

There is plenty to gain from a custom rom. Significant increase in speed and improved ui compared to stock sense ( at least to me ;) ). And plus you can always go back to a stock rooted rom.

You can always try a few more Sense based ROMs to find one you like. Fresh is probably one of the more popular Sense ROMs next to Myn's imo. If you want more performance you can always start swapping kernels :)

Hows your battery life compared to unrooted evo? The biggest advantage to flashing a custom rom for me was the significant increase in battery life Plus the ability to wireless tether was a nice bonus.
