Root [ROM][ALPHA]MIUIv4 By Austrie ~Status Update~

Didn't get to update work that mcuh over the past week, but I got USB Mounting, Indicator, and MMS working on this ROM now. Though I haven't done enough test on USB Mounting and MMS; but when you connect the phone it give you a option to mount unlike before. The computer drivers on my testers computer was borked so he couldn't mount his phone at all.

When will the update be released? Thanks again for all your support!!
 
The only partitions that are used in this ROM, are system and boot. So you can flash this with S-On with any recovery/app.
 
Fantastic! Cant wait for the updated version with the fixes. What is currently working in this version?
 
Alright, here is the scoop:

We have updated to this Friday's update of MIUI... the only thing different is that we were unable to get USB mounting to wuork on this version. We are hoping to have it working soon!

I set back roaming indicator, because the only current fix for it is setting it too sprint. Will try to come up with a Virgin Mobile fix tomorrow night. And MMS on MIUI app doesn't seem too want to work with the hardware of Evo 3D; but I'm going to try the fix I used for the triumph for MMS tomorrow night. Also, Wifi and Bluetooth wont be working until kernel source comes out or until I get faster internet; which ever comes first. The ROM is still using mono-core.

Here's some info about the dual core mod:
Xtreme BatterySave (same performance as balanced, stock roms configuration):
This configuration will give you a systrem configured as MONO-CORE. The cpu1 is totally disabled, and you have the same performance of stock configuration because you have a MONO-Core at 1.5ghz (or your setting) with the full support from the Adreno 220 GPU. So, pratically, same stock performance but a lot of battery-saving and the same Memory settings of Performance Configuration (up).

Balanced (stock CPU configuration but with RAM enhancements):
This configuration will give you a stock CPU configuration, like in every rom up now, but with the memory configuration of Xtreme Performance Settings. So if you want to stay on stock CPU values, you can have the Memory enhancements on SENSE 4 or other roms. (you will earn performance)

Hey Austrie the reason why I asked if I could use 4ext to flash this ROM is because in the op you said that we would have to use Mobstergunz boot image. Do we still need to do that or like I said before can I just flash this through 4ext without doing any extra steps?
 
You don't need the boot.img anymore, but of course you'll still need too wipe. I haven't got a chance to classy up the main post.

Oh okay I was pretty confused lol but thanks for clearing things up. Also I always wipe before I install any ROM.
 
Anybody got a good link for this rom? The one in the op says it's been deleted.

Edit: never mind, I didn't see that one in the last page :-/
 
I can't speak entirely for Austrie, but I can speak as his loyal tester-

We are going to halt porting MIUI until the kernel source code comes out. That way we can get all but 3D and 4G in one swoop. I know this is what you guys don't want to hear, but when every "fix" breaks 3 different things... we gotta stop and wait to do it right. When we tried to fix the battery indicator, it broke the fixed Roaming Indicator, ability to charge, and USB mounting. WiFi and Bluetooth aren't going to be possible until the code comes out anyway. :/

So long story short, if you want us (really him) to work on it, (rather, speed up the process so we can get this ported) the best thing you guys can do is bug the living crap outta HTC and make them release the source code. Otherwise, we are just waiting for the code to post and we will be rockin' and rollin'.
