Root [ROM] [ALPHA] [Triumph] 2.3.4 Gingerbread UPDATE!!! 4/30

microHDMI?!?!?!?!, I thought that was a myth created from all those FroYo ROMers, to show off how cool there ROMs were and brag to everybody else who decided to go for CM7 or MIUI or CM9. lawl

I feel like this is sort of "Hello World" of being able to have microHDMI outside of FroYo.

I'd like to see the Whyzor implement that into his CM7 TG-Reloaded ROM, I'd also like to see you guys be able to pick up drivers from Whyzor. I know that there's probably a lot of ROM customizers in the forum who'd be happy to see such an open landscape to paint on.

I know you guys just got started, but great job really.

Wooooow screen looks very clear, jus no internet + power button off doest have reboot or recovery options . :( I have the answer to fix the camera, after i flash zip on CW recovery boot up open camera take some pix Already tested front and back camera works well doest force reboot anymore.

Well this is a stock rom not cm7 so it's not gonna have those options right now. There may be a way to get those options like with froyo though.

In theory, you could use the software keys from CM7. Those shouldn't mess with anything. As for 3g and wifi, I couldn't tell you. I can tell you that you might want to look into the frameworks and especially libs. I would look in specific libs such as: libril.so, libril-qc-1.so (this is for my phone, not sure about yours), and for wifi, especially look in libhardware_legacy.so (this tells the system where to get the wifi libs from). You can get into .so files with a hex editor, just so you know :)

I just want to know are you porting a official GB from Ideos x6 & family. if yes then which stock rom...!!

its not just from one phone we've hand picked many things from all the phones to try to start this off....

and thanks gannon i'll be sure to check those out :)

Can you guys give me a list of Roms you used to build this bad boy? To get solid progress we will need to build from source but I am up for it. Personally I have been working on ICS stock, and also the CM9 Camera for a few weeks. I have ICS finally building, but not booting yet. I have tried using Mantera's device files and this morning I started a build with IssacJ's device files. The hardest part was just editing the ICS source code to build a .zip which I was able to figure out due to recovery partition in ICS code. As for the Camera I have been trying a lot of different sources for the Qualcom with no luck yet just different error messages on logcat LOL.

Anyways if you can let me know the Roms you snagged bits and pieces from I might be be able to build something from source and get us a working Gingerbread. If we can get Gingerbread to work it's possible we can then take the device files to ICS to build a stock ICS rom. While CM7 and CM9 are cool I prefer stock. I don't have a lot of time but I manage about 2-3 hours a night to work and build and some time on the weekends.

I promised myself if I can get a working Rom I am going to upgrade my workstation to be a beast at 16GB of ram with dual quad Xeon 3.16Ghz procs. So help a brother out and give me an excuse to make the Wifey let me spend some money

Okay first i didn't use any source i haven't found any for Gingerbread on any FB0 phones.....

Now what i did to start this off was deodex Andro-ID RC2, i then used the whykernel from Cm7 Reloaded to get certain things running, after that i used apks from Hauwei, Sharp, and Cherry Mobile's Roms to fix a few of the force closes that were happening inside the Rom, after that joeycmb found a fix for the camera called camera switch....

I must admit i started it but kinda drifted off to another Rom i was making for the Optimus Slider but i intend to focus more on the Triumph for awhile any help you can give would be awesome :)

to make it easier the base used in this rom is the Deodexed Andro-ID and for the other roms i used these

[ROM] MacLite-FB0 v1.3 final (update 13 Jan 2012) - xda-developers

[ROM] Stock 2.3.5 from Taiwan Sharp SH8188U - xda-developers

and this one :p

i don't have the Deodex Andro-ID Rom anymore as i made improvements to it and used as the base for this rom..... although i probably can make another one....

I snaged whatever worked best with the phone lol little to no FC's

Sounds good I will download the Ginger Bread AOSP tonight and grab Whyzor's Device files and see what we can do

lol this rom is kinda mix breed...!!
idk if you guy's have already try this or not, but it may help

- system/etc/permissions/android.hardware.telephony.gsm(change it with android.hardware.telephony.cdma)

- system/bin/qmuxd
- system/bin/rild

- system/lib/libreference-ril.so
- system/lib/libril.so
- system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
- system/lib/libril-qc-1.so
- system/lib/libril-qcril-hook-oem.so

And edit, add & remove some line's in build.prob...!!

This is what i do to make cdma rom to on gsm ;)

Normally I would hate having a stock based ROM on my phone, but since HDMI is working, I'll probably try this :D
Hopefully we can get the HDMI ported to the other GB ROMs, and maybe even CM9

Just tried it. It's actually very smooth considering barely anything is working. I'm really hoping the HDMI driver can be ported to CM7.

OK so I downloaded the Ginger Bread source code. I decided to go with TickerGuy's device files since he is using the default libcamera.so from the device. I then reloaded Froyo 2.2 on my phone and extracted all the vendor files based on TickerGuy's extract.sh script.

I then made some edits to the AOSP code, TickerGuy's device files, and also replaced the hardware/qcom/gps with TickerGuy's source so it would compile. If I end up with a ROM I will gladly post it for all to use, along with posting the source code on github.

If and when I can get it to compile the next thing to do is add in all the extra apps you guys wanted based on the other roms, but lets see what we get first...
