Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Wow lots of replies :D. Ok so basically mms uses data, but it has a special way of using that needs to be fixed then?

If you devs need some advice about MMS, I know these two guys might be able to give advice:

They make ROMs for the OV and Wildfire S and have commented about the MMS issues from Virgin Mobile before. You may not need it, but if you run into trouble and can't figure it out (or see if you can save yourselves some headaches) I would check with them.

Oh, shit! My work shift starts in exactly 22 minutes.
I think I'ma be late for the first time in my life. I won't leave my house until my phone has ICS installed.

I have to back to work in like 15 mins... Good thing I have high speed internet! :D

I did this mostly for me, but I figure I'd share it once the real devs posted their build. I compiled from source with a few additional fixes I found in other places. I do not take credit for anything.

  • Compiled from Mantera/CM source
  • Includes Whyzor's latest touchscreen kernel fixes
  • Pretty much the same as Alpha 0.5 except:
  • Added Facebook contact sync (Gerrit 1 2)
  • Fixed Superuser (Gerrit)

Enjoy

OK so I'm making a list of crucial things that need to work in cm9....

- GPS
- MMS
- Wifi hotspot
- Camera unresponsive

And if it's even possible...

- HDMI

I'm looking at you programmers
Thanks so much for a working rom the very least

I used to have an Optimus V and the dev community and I started working on it since the release date. We had custom ROM's but no MMS. It took us about 4 months to finally get it working though. But I know who the guy is specifically that found the MMS problem and fixed it. I can't remember because this was at least a year ago, so i'll be back with the name soon. Gotta search. We could always ask him where the problem is and how it was fixed, because he never told anyone.

EDIT: I got the name. The dev that knows how to fix the MMS problem, his name is aosp and he's on XDA forums. Profile - http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2838735

I'm just going to say this: We have one of the best dev teams around. Thank you to all that contributed, I can't wait to see the final version, but for now, it's time to take this for a test drive!

Thank you for all your hard work, hair pulled out and sleepless nights. You have done an amazing job!!
The more than 70 posts in less than 6 hours proves the interest. That must be some kind of record.

Dude.. you may be joking around, but you really need to relax on this.. these guys have been busting their butts to get this out.. so be patient.

No joking here very impressed with what they have done so far and what's to come :) no crime in making a kick butt list:p
