Root Rom and Root Issues

I got a replacement droid yesterday, and while activating it I pressed something that the phone didnt like. it then restarted and from then on I couldnt use any apps/3g/wifi....

I was able to root it and get sprecovery on it, but am trying to find a 2.0.1 base rom to put back on it to start fresh and fix this issue.

I cant seem to use anything in nandroid backup form however cause it exits with error 28, no matter what rom I try.

Anyone have 2.0.1 in update.zip form?

You can get the stock 2.0.1 ROM from DMUpdater.

Or, you can flash the 2.0.1 SBF to get completely back to stock.

I tired useing dmupdate, but the app issue I was having effected the download of that...

haha, I didnt realize those were days. Now I know how to read those. ha

yeah, every time I try to use nandroid I get a "ERROR: nandroid exited with status 28"

There's an update.zip in Pete's folder too.

If you can do adb, just adb shell into recovery and:

format DATA:
format CACHE:
format SYSTEM:

and then apply the update.zip. This will result in the exact same outcome as flashing a nandroid.

got update on, cant connect to Verizon 3g or cell...
