[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

I would also like to know if there is a circle batt mod for the 3/26 version and... how do I go about putting the CM settings back on the rom after AOSP goes full vanilla?

There is a. Circle mod posted on xda. But you can't flash if you have a theme.

Here is the circle battery mod for the 3/26 build. I have also included the glowing crysis battery mod. I just started using it. Its pretty cool especially when the phone is plugged in charging. Its still a circle and has the battery level as a number but a little jazzier than the circle mod.

Looking at the views of the battery mods looks like everybody is mostly grabbing the glowing crysis mod. Do you like it better than the circle mod? Just trying to make convo while we wait for the newest update.

I tried both, but I think I prefer the plain circle. I'm also waiting for the twopointthree theme over at XDA to get the answer/end buttons to get fixed so I can use it permanently. I loved the twopointtwo theme for CM6.

I tried the straight circle mod. It's nice, but does it make the notification bar taller? Seemed like it. Could have been an illusion. I am using the builtin percentage.

Anyone seen gps reboots when running nav? I have. There's some theory on xda that turning on jit on 3/26 will resolve this. I have been running with jit=on for 24 hours without issues. Used nav twice (25 min each) and no reboots. Not convinced yet, but hopeful.

Anyone else try?

I have tried both and still the same, but as of the last couple builds my GPS has been fine, I think she just has a mind of her own.

Yea I've been reading about jit over there too. Haven't taken the plunge as of yet because everything is running so smooth over the last handful of builds. And gps like Don said has been acting fine in the last two builds for me with only 1 reboot after almost an hour.

for the 3/26 build, what would be the more stable yet none battery draining overclock setting? i have mine set to 264 to 710 and i feel as though it is heating up my battery.
i had those settings on the previous builds and my battery seemed to not be heating up so i was just wondering if anyone has had this problem?

I run mine at 480 - 768, always have. Everyone's phone is different for some reason. That is something I really don't understand.

does it overheat your battery ?? mine, before running the the 3/26 build, it would sit around like 60 ish degrees when i didnt do anything on the phone, but now, when im running the same 264 to 710, its sitting at 80....

MC, what is your max CPU speed set to? My only concern about running PERFORMANCE is that the CPU will stay at your top speed. If you have that cranked up to 768, I would worry about over stressing the chip.

I do think that there are some issues with the governors that are causing the lockups and reboots with GPS and Pandora. It could be in one of the other performance settings as well.

I will play with PERFORMANCE some to see how well it works and what it does to my battery.

Gents - I was previously on CM6 (Final Version - if there ever really is such a thing) and saw this new Rom ( aospCMod-HC-20110326-signed.zip) with Gingerbread, so naturally I had to check it out. I used Titanium Backup as well as CWM and originally I got an endless loop inthe reboot - shows a blue "Android" and just kept cycling. After about 90 mins I pulled the battery and restarted - now it boots to a loop between a "touch the Android to begin" screen and the blue Android. I believe I need to follow the instructions Andygu3 gave above and wipe partitions, but I don't seem to be able to get to the necessary screen to do so. When I press "Power" and "Home" when the phone is completely off, I get the "clearstorage" screen. When I do it while the phone is booting or looping, I get nothing or the phone just reboots. Any thoughts on the best time to do it? Or am I missing something here?

You can also press and hold the volume down and press power for about two seconds and choose recovery. If you are still unable to get into recovery then you may have to reflash the stock Android 2.1 with Sense RUU either via HBOOT or HTC Sync.

When you are in recovery, which I am assuming you are using ClockworkMod Recovery, you should always do a Nandroid backup first. After that, go ahead and wipe data and cache, then go into Advanced and wipe Dalvik cache, and then go into Mounts and Storage and format boot, cache, data, and system. After you perform all of the above, flash your new ROM and then flash the GApps. Finally, reboot and you should be in good shape.

LBPHeretic - You are the man! (Uh, I'm just guessin' there) Followed your instructions and I am now Golden! (I had done Nandroid backup) I don't know if it was just the partition wipe that needed to be done per AndyGu3 or one of the others, but I am now not getting any work done 'cuz I am too busy playing with my new phone (always seems like a new phone with a new Rom) FYI - I have a Hero and I can get a new phone, but I am holding off to see the Evo 3d this summer, hopefully this will give me a nice little technology fix to satiate my cravings until then. Give yourself a slap on the back for me. If I could buy you a beer I would. And my props to Andygu3 as well - this forum is awesome!

You are quite welcome. Yes, I am a dude. :D

I too am waiting on the Sprint HTC EVO 3D. Although I will have to wait until December for my upgrade to reappear after it disappears on April 1st.

I just got through talking with Sprint. They are allowing me to keep my upgrade after 4/1. I'm scheduled for an upgrade in July.

Gents - Question about the aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.3 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [03/26/2011 rom I just flashed it and so far am loving it - one minor issue - I have no way of knowing if I've received a voicemail. My voicemail works (called it and had a friend call it) I can access it from a landline, but the phone gives me no indication I've received a voicemail and when I long press '1', it says I have no new voicemails (and at the time I had 2) Any one with an idea on this one?

GOOGLE VOICE FTW!!!!!

Easy to set it up!
Click and follow directions...need to go to the website first...I think

Good to know. I was wondering if I could complain and get them to let me have my upgrade anyway.

Sprint is usually pretty good about custom service, at least in my experience they have been. I am not surprised they were so cooperative with you. ;)
