[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

I would post that over at the XDA forum, also I believe Russian was in older version GB Roms, if yes then you can extract it from an older Rom and install the APK

In CM7 until 30 at nightly and in the AOSP CM7 to 22 a nightly was to support multilingual. Who has experience in adding language please help me.:confused:
 
I flashed the rom a few days ago, but i seem to be having an issue. I'm not able to use apps that require root. When I go to superuser or try to use titanium backup, it tells me my phone is not rooted. Is this normal?
 
So, I flashed the s0be number 5 kernel. My camera freezes when the focus square turns green. Anyone else having this? If I want to flash a new kernel, do I have to wipe anything?

Oh, my Governor has been set to ON DEMAND this whole time..
 
I believe this is a known issue. I also think there's a fix for it. Search XDA under android development. I haven't used my camera since flashing the kernel so I haven't had a reason to look myself.

If you want to use the old stock kernel, I believe you just re-flash aospCmod after wiping the cache and dalvik cache. If you have any themes flashed, you would have to flash those again as well after the initial boot. Hope this helps.
 
Yeah....some people the camera doesn't play nice on that kernel....try the interactive or smartass Govs....see if you have better luck....

Asop just said on xda he would have a new build up soon for us. I'm so freaking excited. if you haven't already go there and donate to him he has done amazing work.

To quote asop "i will try my best to get a fresh build up for
you guys sometime today i just been busy
lately that's all still no heroc left behind
here!"
 
I didn't post that info because that could mean a day or so, since he is busy and does not use the Hero anymore

Well, I finally did it. I bit the bullet, used ROM Manager and flashed on the CWM Recovery. It's not bad so far. Oh, I also went from the 3/8 build of Aosp GB to the CM7 Stable release. So far, I have noticed no difference except for in the way my notification bar pulls down. I would have kept using the 3/8 Aosp build, but my phone finally got all kinds of buggy on me. Any way, I'll be stoked to check out the next release that Aosp drops. :)
 
I have been running the CM7 RC4 for a couple days now. Very little difference from the 3/26 asop.

Haven't noticed a notification difference.
 
The notification bar in the Aosp ROM was straight and smooth pull down, the one in CM 7 has a little stutter in it while pulling. Minor difference, almost negligable. The one big difference I have is that my Sprint VVM is fully functioning now. It never worked right for me with Aosp. That's really it though for me. Those are the only differences I can pick out so far.
 
Wow, just flashed the newest aosp(first time using aosp, had been using Zen on my old hero). This ROM is amazing. I have everything working great. Two questions tho, i seem to remember seeing a Beer Glass battery image.
1. Anybody have any clue what i am talking about?
2. any clue where i can find it/will it work with the 3/26 release?

To all you smart cats: When I first flashed GB everything was sweet - phone, email, etc was all smokin' fast. Now I have been having issues with email (had this same issue with CM6) where it cycles and cycles, but I don't receive any emails. I have 3 accounts on the phone - Hotmail and the other 2 are POP accts (Comcast and a work account) and it happens to all 3 - I can reboot the phone and then usually (not always) all 3 accts will receive. Anybody else having this issue or have any ideas on what I might tweak to resolve it?

This ROM comes with Zeam correct? I'm pretty sure it does because it's on the wife's phone. I'm trying to change her launcher to Launcher Pro (LP) but I cannot figure out why it's not letting me. I hit the home button to bring up the different launchers but nothing happens. She may have selected "Remember this option" when selecting her launcher and now I cannot figure out how to get back to LP. Any thoughts?

Also, has anyone flashed the new update? How's it working? ;)
