ROM Backup?

At the moment I probably not to interested in flashing different ROMs to my phone but I was wondering is it a Good a idea to at least backup the installed ROM? I am Rooted and if you guys feel a backup not a bad Idea is ROM Manager the best app for this?

It's always a good idea to flash a recovery image and make a nandroid of your stock rom, in case something happens or you want to go back to the stock rom, you can;)

Yes, RM is one way to go about getting a recovery image
 
also a good idea to connect your phone to your computer and copy/paste that nandroid backup somewhere on there... just in case your SD card gets corrupted somehow
