Root [ROM] BlueKingdom 1.4 - Updated 9/29

First of all I like to Thank Jssa28 for all of the hard work put into making this ROM.

I am hoping someone can help me out with an issue I am having with 4G. The 4G radio will turn on with a toggle widget, but it's not really connected to 4G. I know this because when I go into about phone, then network it tell me I connected to EvDo-rev.A. Not sure if this is related but when I attempt to clear dalvik cache and wipe/factory reset, some of my settings are still there after a reboot. Things like my wallpaper and any WiFi connection I had setup previously. I was always under the impression that if I did a factory wipe it would return the original settings. I am using 2Fast's cwm 5.0.28 build. This ROM was installed after the Forgotten Kingdom ROM.

Hmmm lets see

1.Which recovery are you using to install? If its CWM 6 get rid of it because it has too many bugs, install cwm 5 or twrp

2. If you are already using cwm 5 or twrp try re-downloading the rom, might be a corrupted zip file. Make sure if you are coming from another rom to wipe everything.

Thanks for replying. I use twrp2.5 currently and I've also flashed cwm5 just to flash this rom all to no avail. I downloaded the rom again & checked the MD5 checksum to make sure it matched, which it did and still getting the black screen after booting.I even wiped everything including system, flashed v1.3 rom with the same result...any help will be highly appreciated.

I would like to say thank you for the great job you've done.
Just installed this ROM yesterday and so far I am very happy with it.

At the moment there is only one small issue so far. For some reason there is no 4G toggle in the settings and no 4G status is displayed in the notification bar or anywhere for that matter. I was able to turn on 4G by using a Power Toggle and speedtest.net clocked the speed at 7mbps so it seems to be working even though is not displayed anywhere.

This is in no way a complaint, I am very happy with this ROM, and this issue is likely related to something I did wrong but wanted to mention it and see if anyone else has encountered it.

Hi guys, anyone receiving a persistent Error 128 recently? I can't connect to my data network at all, apparently. The last time this seemed to be an issue (that I can Google up) was in 2011, and it said to update the profile of the phone... But I can't figure out how to do that with this rom! Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: It appears it was a Boost network issue this time, and has been resolved on their end.

I have installed this ROM successfully on my FreedomPop Phone. The network reads "Boost Mobile". I used the "4G Toggle for EVO" app to get 4G working. I sideloaded the "android-wifi-tether" app and was able to connect to my Android tablet after adjusting the 'Setup-Method' to Netd (master). Also, I was able to install the FreedomPop Messaging app. It works also without any tweaks (both SIP and SMS). I am very happy with the ROM so far. Thank you for your hard work and maintenance of it!

Great news! I am looking into this FreedomPop phone and would like to do the same. So everything works as in FreedomPop services? I would like to install Google Voice with either GrooveIP or Talkatone to take advantage of the 500 MB data for voice calls and keep my original number. Do you think this would be possible and also to keep my 200 voice minutes for backup? Thanks in advance.

edit: here is a link to something I would like to do.

I was able to use the Messaging App from the store on it just fine. I use Google Voice and a FreePBX box to forward my calls using CSIPSimple (oddly what FP has modified for its Messaging program). GrooveIP and Talkatone should work just fine, however. My bucket of minutes is not touched. BTW I also get better battery life it seems out of this ROM.

This ROM is great, very very fast and no problem with GSM or CDMA.
One thing I need is just Stk.apk for this rom, can you guys help me to figure it out. I tried from Sprint ICS dump but it did not work.

Hey everyone. I was running updates for my apps and neglected to notice that there was a Google Keyboard update. Now my keyboard doesn't have the nice blue popups that make reading the keys so easy, and there are less characters available when you hold down on the comma key. Anyone know how to roll it back without reinstalling Bluekingdom?

Google Now appears to be an older version that doesn't properly images for sports scores. In addition, there is a Google Now card indicating that a newer version is available on Google Play, but (of course) Google Play says that the version is incompatible with my phone.

Is there a way to update the version of Google Now?

These are issues I cannot fix. Devs created a project to bring Google Now to ICS and update it when Google does (since it only supported JB and higher) The project has been canceled and every time Google changes something on their server the Google Now App for ICS get more outdated and features break. I will see if I can do anything about it but I'm not sure what can be done.

Edit: I'm going to pull google now from my nexus 4 and see if I can modify the APK to work on ICS again

just wish two things of bluekingdom (1.5, maybe).... Fm Radio, and the DLNA side of the gallery...
before rooting and flashing all sorts of roms, this is the one i use all the time (and 2fast v5 kernel), but i lost the ability to piss the kids off while they are playing ps3 on the bravia with random pictures and movies from my phone.

just a suggestion, not a demand.

Great update!

Thanks for putting the ring back in. My phone is smoother and better on battery now than the day i bought it.

Update on this?

AND THIS ROM!!!! IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I downloaded 4.1.1 it was so buggy from XDA but this rom makes it feel like JB and it is much faster than stock by FARRRRR! Using freedompop phone makes this phone feels like its new again.

Also about the wifi. This phone has old internal wifi hardware from like 2005 or something (for a late 2011 phone) was wondering if there is a wifi setting like the original rom to "max performance" option is default on this rom or is it on batterysave/wifi option?

there's no way to use the built in fm radio tuner, without using the program.. trying to save battery by not using bandwidth, plus up in the mountains, there's not much sprint coverage.

Anybody has poblem using built-in camera app to take pic by front camera? screen shows OK but the taken picture is meassed up.
Other than this I am satisfied with this ROM.

I did this process a couple of weeks ago and love it so much more than the stock HTC android version. I have an Evo Design and I only have one little problem. I can't use the ESPN Fantasy Football App. When I start it up, it claims that it can't connect. I go on Facebook, or use the web browser to confirm that I am connected to the internet. I've tried re-installing the app multiple times. I even tried to just go to the ESPN Fantasy site using my browser, but that doesn't work either. It says the page is unavailable. It's like my phone is blocking access to that entire service. I did not have this problems before I put BlueKingdom 1.4 on my phone. Does anyone know what could be causing this.
