Root [ROM] BlueKingdom 1.4 - Updated 9/29

It's not missing, just hold power + volume down for about 1 second until it takes a screenshot.

Also, next update will allow you to change system font on the installer... for example

Oh wow -__- I wasn't holding it long enough, lol I was used to the stock htc one where you just press it quick. Also, I noticed that when I have an incoming call, I have to unlock the phone (pattern unlock) to answer it. Is there a way where I can just answer straight from the lockscreen without having to unlock it?

did you unlock it with the htc method yet?

Yes, I have.

In fact, I have managed to flash this ROM. Boy ! This was so much easier than I ever thought it would be

I have to say kudos to you, and everyone else involved in this project, the whole process is really easy even for a newbie like me.

I love it :D

So far its very stable, no issues.

I just noticed that during install on the screen it would say that it was going to run Buttered-Toast kernel (and not 2fast's V5 kernel)

Also it states that its ROM version 1.0 (not 1.2)

I'm guessing it might be a typo on both instances, unless I happened to D-L the wrong file.

But I still LOVE this

thanks! as long as the zip is 1.2 its correct, I will update the typos (or lack of text changes in the installer) in 1.3

I don't know if in fact this ROM includes such a feature, as I have had no chance to test for it.

But if it doesn't, I hope the MAC vs SAMSUNG lawsuit functionality can be integrated in this ROM.

THX so much :) for this, my phone its behaving like an entirely different one, like I had upgraded handset.

I'm lovin' it :D

This is a very nice ROM. I had some trouble with the "built in" Titanium Backup not acknowledging my Pro key, I'm currently reflashing it without a built in Titanium and seeing if that will resolve the issue... I'm also going to need to install the Boost Voicemail app at some point.

To the post above ...

Yes, I had the same problem. Here I was thinking it was me having made some mistake during flash process.

But yes, I did a whole system wipe, reflashed ROM w/ NO titanium, got titanium from market and oddly enough titanium didn't even ask for my PRO license, since I didn't have installed. But, still gave me PRO features and market says I had "purchased" PRO but it did not detect license as installed.

Go figure.

That happened to me as well update your prl, no promises but please try.

Well my phone has been getting really good reception and speed, so I'm a little hesitant to update PRL.

Is it because you tried to update your PRL and couldn't, or because you saw improvement in performance?

This just happened to me.

My phone's soft keys are not working anymore. (I believe that they are called that, in any case I'm referring to the hardware keys at the bottom of the phone that give access to: home, menu, back and search)

In fact to be precise they're working sporadically.

Any advice / help would be much appreciated.

+1 on the soft key lighting going awol. Has been that way on my phone since I first installed this rom I think. Not a deal breaker, but it would save my old eyes some strain if the backlighting would return.

lighting or the actual buttons? I haven't heard of the buttons not working before

Correct, they don't light up. But they work otherwise.

I have noticed that when the phone is on standby mode (with screen off) if I push power button..... (just to look at the clock, and or look at preview for any text messages I may have received) .... but I do not push power button again to turn screen off, the soft keys will light up briefly right before the screen goes dark automatically.

And like I said before. Soft keys do work, but only light up sporadically.

And to be more specific they do not light up on their own for no reason or anything like that, so far. ( curious fact, now that I'm writing this reply about them to you w/ my phone on landscape mode, the soft-keys have been lit the whole time I have been typing )

Thanks for this ROM man I love it.

And thanks for your prompt response.

Cheers

Xcalibur32,

Please give your input about this issue/topic, as soon as you have a chance of course.

Your feedback about PRL updating would be very helpful because like I said, my phone has been getting good performance. Plus, I have very little experience w/ manual PRL updates so I rather avoid messing up the goodness of this ROM.

( I remember there is a thread about writing PRL and part of it was manually, but I just can't remember the name of it )

Cheers

check out an app called "soft buttons light" on the play store for a temp fix to key lighting problem!

I know you can dial ##775# then your msl to change your prl , just have to find the zip file that has all the sprint prls , there is a post for a list of some prls..............

Hello,

Right, so I've checked the app but its not working for me, the app seems pretty easy to use, but still no lighted-up soft keys for me.
(i am running the app right now in fact)
I guess its a common side effect of rooting one's phone.

Also, I wanted to report that I had to do a battery pull due to my phone freezing while I was watching some YouTube video.

It seemed to me that it was not YouTube's app but the phone itself because at some point the app closed but the screen was black except for the notification bar on top showing me correct time of day and all the normal stuff.

Phone is working fine now, but I haven't been able to reproduce this issue.

Signal reception is great, so much better than before flashing ROM

Battery performance seems to be ok, since I been playing w/ phone more than usual.

Cheers

The issue with the soft-key's lighting appears to be a "feature" that is a part of the last official update from HTC. It ties the lights to the light-sensor and only turns them on when it feels there is insufficient light to see them, whatever the value is that HTC set it to. Unlike the automatic brightness for the display, there is no option to turn it off that I've seen; however, blocking the sensor for a moment usually turns them on. Additionally, I did a quick test of the mentioned app, and it has no effect for me either. (Completely stock, not even an unlocked boot loader.) I hadn’t even noticed this occurred until I read your posts.

Additionally, oddly enough the other day Facebook crashed on me and had the same effect as YouTube crashing had on you. Again, I'm fully stock so this wasn't anything that jssa28 changed/added that caused it, possibly also something from the last update or some crazily random glitch that we both experienced around the same time.

this seems to be it, when i completely block the light sensor they will turn on when i press power, otherwise they don't turn on :(

too bad htc isn't good at making real changelogs

edit: I found more of the specifics of the problem

the phone only adjusts to turn the senors off when it has enough light, but does not turn them back on when it needs them

Hope everyone is having a great day.

I am very excited a about this, but I need some help.

I'm not good at English. I can flash it by cwm5, but I can not enter the system, and

stop at the first screen. How should I do?All my flash tools are from a Chinese

website(such as cwm5).Is it for this reason ? Thank you!

Hey so far loving the rom smooth as butter!! couple things I noticed that I haven't seen mentioned though. Sprint visual voicemail isn't on the phone by default is there any way to get it back on it was my primary way of checking my voicemail, if not I could always setup a google voice account. and the second is the sprint zone app. I dont use it frequently but it's nice to have around. thanks for any help on this and keep up the good work!!
