Root [ROM] CM 10.1 preview

WiFi works fine.
GPS, accelerometer, magnetic sensor all look to be working.
Screen looks fine.
Mtp seems fine. I assume that this is why it shows as my phone then storage instead of just the storage.
Deep sleep also activates.

Odd thing though. Ran antutu just to strain the CPU a little. I could check the CPU info in CPU spy plus prior to. However CPU 0 was doing all the work cpu1 was prey much not going anything. After running benchmarks the file to check for cpu1 time in state was missing. Seemed odd.

Haven't bothered with tethering since data's out at the moment.

Check that mpdecision and thermald are running.

ril.subscription.types=NV,RUIM
Appears to add the option to switch between these back to the menu.

keyguard.no_require_sim=true
Pretty sure this just matches the security setting to rewuire a pin to unlock your sim if you wanted to change it.

ro.config.svlte1x=true
This is one that tdm had me add earlier on the thread. No change

persist.radio.apm_sim_not_pwdn=1
Pretty sure this is one tdm had me add earlier in the thread add will with no change.

ro.use_data_netmgrd=true
persist.data_netmgrd_nint=16
persist.data_netmgrd_mtu=1428
These all just look to be network tweaks.

There a handful of clientid lines that differed too... had no effect. I'd copy and paste them but its hard from my phone

On pre2, try removing the property ro.ril.shutdown from build.prop, see if that affects data.

Here is the CM10.1 CDMA apns-conf, in case you aren't running Q-CM10.1 and don't want to install a whole ROM just to get one file.

You sir. Are a god among men.

Factory Reset, Wiped cache, wiped dalvik, format system. Installed pre2 and gapps, while in recovery I pushed the apns-conf.xml

Had 4g as soon as my setup screen popped up.

Confirm pre3 has working 4g after a normal wipe/reset/install cycle at the setup screen.

Okay... this is the Real Deal. Let's test pre3 like it's an official build.

As I get reports of items working/broken, I'll update the OP, so check there first.

Data also works for me! GPS and WiFi both work as well, will use as my daily driver and see if I can break anything ;)

data works for me! will use as daily driver to see everything else works. one thing though that the signal is definitely weaker compared to cm10.
one more thing can you put the latest baseband V8 on this.

These are both very minor things, but since we're doing full testing...

Toggle LTE off switches preferred network mode to: CDMA/EvDo for 3g

Toggle LTE on sets preferred network mode to: LTE/CDMA for 4g, this prevents 4g from activating as it needs to set to LTE/CMDA/EvDo. Manually changing this through the mobil networks section in the settings menu restores 4g.

This is the LTE Toggle in Settings > System > Notification Drawer > Power Widget > Widget Buttons > "LTE"

Logcat Cleared then toggled LTE off, ON, then changed to the proper network mode in settings. logcat toggling LTE - Pastebin.com

A radio Logcat doing the same thing after I took the previous one (cleared and repeated the same steps): Logcat Radio Toggling LTE - Pastebin.com

The advanced reboot has reboot/recovery/bootloader. I'm fairly certain that bootloader is a useless option on this phone.

*edit* Verified, bootloader option is useless. Luckily it just does a normal reboot instead of any sort of boot loop.

I've heard reports of weaker signal but I haven't investigated it yet. I suspect it's just a display issue, but that has yet to be confirmed.

What is a V8 baseband? We have ZV4, ZV6, and ZV7.

the phone just got a minor software update last night it changed the baseband to ZV8

Hmm, interesting.

Regarding the initial question, CM ROMs do not contain basebands. They only should report the baseband string properly in the settings/about menu. Does this work with ZV8?

This is confirmed. ZV8 is a minor update pushed to US VZW Spectrum devices. Anything stock should already have this/be getting it shortly.

My son's device got it last night. Haven't had time to see if there's anything different.

Wifi Tether: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2525173703.png

These two worked fine, wifi was significantly slower... but that seems to be fairly normal for wifi tethering.

Turned on Bluetooth tethering, forgot I hadn't paired my phone to my laptop yet. Decided to do that, made the phone discoverable (with BT tether still on) Bluetooth turned off, won't turn back on. Looks like it crashed out pretty hard in the logcat.

This logcat is for all 3 tethers, I wasn't sure how far back I should go. Logcat Tethering - Pastebin.com

Someone shoot me a dump of p1 and p14 so I can put it in the baseband thread.

PM me if you need to know the adb commands to do this.

I get the same thing on my Nitro after toggling Bluetooth (without tether, just normal usage). I strongly suspect this is a CM bug, but I haven't installed an official CM ROM to verify yet.

Rebooted the phone, got bluetooth to pair to my computer fine. Tether appeared successful, however windows 7 will not obtain an IP address on the bluetooth tether adapter. Shows the connection as 1.0 Mbps though.

This may be due to the USB composition changes. We need to investigate further.

It does seem to just be a display issue, mine changes a lot, but I haven't missed any calls (that I know of anyway:p).

MMS sending works, as well as SMS sending and receiving.

Something weird with the Mobile Data toggle (not the LTE one) in the notification power widget, it works fine when Wifi is off, but when Wifi is on it doesn't toggle the first time, although it does vibrate and data turns off, then if you press it again, it toggles off but the data actually turns back on. Then if you turn Wifi off, the data toggle turns back on, since data is already on. Hopefully that makes sense.
