Root [ROM][CM9 KANG][Alpha] Updated 3.5.5---6/27/12

I was thinking maybe going through the ICS code and kernel of the nexus seeing its one of the most stable and compare it to our kernel and code and make changes where needed..Was reading on XDa how the ics kernel Samsung released is buggy and bloated and has alot of issues.:adore:
 
Does anybody know that when sending a long text to someone thats composed of 2 pages doesnt work? lol theyll get something like

"@$&%9925 fssihd libw7-3:688@*%%$&@@@@+/' s-$--$:" lol i txted my ex something long n she thought i was cursing her out lmao just askin if anyone else has come across this bug?

LOL happens to alot of phones.I think it could be when the data gets uploaded sometimes it gets mixed up.Like when your connections drops and you could only get a partial message out.Thats what I think Maybe someone else might know the correct answer.

Most likely a network issue.

Just restart your phone or put it into airplane mode then back to normal.

THIS WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM

Download Handcent, go in to Send Message Settings and select Split 160 Tap on the option and select simple split.

Also go to Application Setting and select Default Messaging Application. Select All( SMS&MMS). The go to Receive Message Setting and select make sure that Auto-retrieve is checked.

After you've done that, you will need to uncheck the Notification settings and auto-retrieve setting in the stock messaging app or just delete it all together.

If you aren't a fan of Handcent(great app in my opinion). You can do exactly this is the default app as well. Just open the messaging app, hit menu, settings, then scroll down to "Text (sms) messages". Just check SMS split. Turn back on "Auto-retrieve" and "Notifications" if you have unchecked them. SMS split was on by default in the previous alphas, hence why no one really had the issue then. CM7 had the same issue during it's early releases. This same exact fix worked then as well.

That guy kinda threw us off with that question because it 0 to do with CM9 I say we move it to a diff thread b4 we get some more answers:screwy::banghead::screwy::screwy::p

But none less good answer and hopefully he logs in to see it big up to riot and wetbiker

Actually it does have to do with CM9. This is a problem the affects CM7,CM9 and MIUI ROMs.

I mentioned Handcent earlier because it is a total fix for the problem.

LOL , the MIUI ROMs do not even have the option in the stock app that Riotpump had mentioned earlier. Wasn't sure if CM9 had it or not so I only mentioned what I knew for sure would work.:D
 
Well I had a reg flip phone and it did the same thing sooooooo what u say bout that huh huh

UPDATE: I think i just stumbled on to a site that has 4.0.4 with adreno armv6 in it

sooooo fredo can we get a link or site name :eek: ...id love ta check that out maybe evn flash it..... kinda off topic but 4.0.4 is what i have installed on my asus transformer tf101....and it rocks.... if i could get it on my prevail id be a happy lil camper :D

Kang? More like Poon-Kang! This is good stuff.

Thanks to Cyanogen for the original ROM, Hroark for adding the Prevail Poon and you for the Kang.

On a side note, Boost just screwed up my auto RE-BOOST and cut off my service. May have been my banks fault, I switched to Wells Fargo a couple of months ago. I had to call them and pay with my debit card from the same account.

Now I have to call customer service tomorrow and make sure my shrinkage is not screwed up because of this.

Never had this happen before.What a coincidence that this is my last $45 payment before it drops to $40.

I think I am going to cancel the auto RE-BOOST and just pay it with a phone call each month. Lucky I was up at 2AM. It was back before 3AM. Lol.

Sorry, had to vent. Wrong thread I know. But this did delay me posting my thanks to everyone involved in getting it to this point and beyond.

i was starting to worry about you bro..you have been away for far to long lol

Inigo and Wilfredo had a big part in getting CM9 to its current condition..i have been super busy with home and work the past two or three days and havent had time to work on CM9...tonight i am getting some help from Kolosus with some things..i expect to get some work done hopefully tommorow sometime with CM9..im glad you like it..I intend to see CM9 all the way through..but with work and life it is very hard to get enough work done to amount to anything :D

I just have to say thanks to all you guys .The rom runs really smooth and the time you guys have put in is really been worth it !
 
Will have an update pushed out one day this week with recent developments (bluetooth fix) and some other little fixes we found needing changed in 3.2...can anyone confirm new modded flash player has netflix and other video playback items working correctly? i have had three ppl pm me and say its all working..if so id say its time to label this bad boy BETA :D
