Root ROM Compatable apps

So i have been playing with the rom on my phone a bit, adding things in and what not

Things that don't work:

  • wifi tether - neither the one from the market nor the beta from the earlier post.
  • iHeartRadio - was really hoping for this one, takes quite a bit of user space.
  • GO Keyboard - woulda been nice to get this in there but whatever

Things that do work:

  • GO Launcher EX - i actually removed the default launcher all together with this one.
    • GO Launcher Themes also seem to work.
  • MathLAB calc - a free graphing calc that is almost as small as the original.
  • Root All 2 SD - Just in case you need some extra room.
I will be playing with this a bit as I have time, feel free to add your own apps to the list

i am running ShabbyCent 0.1 rom.
i removed launcer2.apk and replaced it with Go Launcher ex (renamed the apk to Launcher2.apk)
i removed Mms.apk and replaced with GoSmsPro renamed to Mms.apk
as with you found wifi tether will not work, as well as the Flash 10.2 apk and weatherbug,
added
apps2sd
titanium backup
app widget picker
go locker
advanced_task_killer
removed
street
maps
swype
youtube
thats about it for now still working on it though,
 
flash will not work out of the box, it supports arm7 cpus, you guys are arm 6

you guys dont need to rename them to add them to the rom, the rom doesnt check for those files as long as there is an app there to do what you asked then it will work

Flash is working great on my phone.. i can even play games on facebook with it.
 
So i broke down and bought TI backup pro because i wanted some of the more advanced features, with it, i was able to move quite a few apps over to rom that i could not just put there before..

GO keyboard
Pandora music
iHeart Radio

it also let me integrate the updates directly into my rom for other apps that are rom resident i now have a bunch of stuff installed and over 55 megs left internally.. and Root all to SD does not work on this phone, installs and mounts but does not actually move apps to sd card... LAME
