sometimes, when i reboot my phone, a black screen pops up saying Reset Mode: Ramdump and its inside a box made out of *'s...what is this? does this mean something is on my phone like a RAT trying to reconnect to its owner to continue sending info? im learning step by step all i can reguarding android platform and java/linux commands ect...yet i have not seen this yet so im a bit confused...do u know whats going on or can you point me in the right direction to find the answer?

SO I installed Both Cricket OA2.3 and I love the GUI and all that are applied, But I am running into Apps Freezing ALL APPS Facebook, Gmail. etc I really Love this ROM and Want to use it. Can Someone explain why it is doing this?> Also Using CWM v5.0.2.8 If anything else Ask. Thanks In advance

Reflash it. Or do what I did, when I ran into that problem I just deleted the programs doing that, restarted the phone then reinstalled the same apps and problem solved

Even before i flashed my vitality, the data connection seems to drop on its own. i usually have to toggle airplane mode on then off to make the data work again. Is there any fix for this so i dont have to toggle airplane mode?

I'm thinking something is conflicting with the kernel. Like some bug that freezes it for a bit. I've had the same problem as well, nothing to do but 'reset' the phone to make it work again. Android devices can be super weird sometimes

Where would I find the sound file for the boot sequence on this rom once installed on the phone?

I have been able to install a custom Doctor Who bootanimation, but adding the sound is running me around a bit.

idk about the sound, i dont even think it has sound. Did you name the mp3 as PowerOn.mp3 ?

Ive been playing with this for the last few days and the only time I managed to get the sound to play, it locked up at the loading screen (assume bad build.prop edit).

Can anyone tell me what files that could effect the bootanimation audio may have been changed or deleted in this rom?

I have installed a custom bootanimation, AND I have gotten the sound to play by adding a line in build.prop, but I cant figure out how to get the audio to sync to the animation...

Does anyone have a stock 2.3.6 unrooted backup from before they flashed this rom?

I just formatted my sd card without thinking and lost the backup.

I'd like to go back to unrooted stock to play with these sounds a bit and see if i might be missing something that was/is altered/missing in this rom.

runs fast and snappy, sometimes goes black screen and short vibrate bursts tho. have to reboot... would this be related to voltage?

This rom is awesome and i love it as my daily driver. There are three things i would love to see. The first one would be the Spanish charters fixed because all i see are blank spots. The second thing would be a transparent notification bar with the option to swipe notifications away like in cm7. Lastly a sound booster. The one that's up for flashing now does not make this low volume phone any louder. Other than that this rom is BEASTTT!!!!!!! all my friends at school wanted to know how to make their phone like mine

The two issues I have with this rom are:

1. Ive lost all gps

2. It always turns on when charging (cant bump charge)

I can live without #2, but not having gps sucks as its crippling a bunch of my apps - does anyone know a workaround?

There are no known issues with gps.

Have you re-installed the rom?

You could also try flashing the leaked EH29 upgrade utility (located in these subforums), then reflash my rom.

thanks for the helpful information regarding the vitality.....haven't done anything with it yet because I know this sounds stupid but when it comes to telephones and making backups I'm a total scatter brain.....but how to do exactly create a back up of your phone....

Have a look at the "All things Root" sticky at the top of this sub forum.
The samsung Admire is also the same phone, just a different branding, so that forum is also a good asset to learning about your phone.

Why can't we remount via adb on this rom? The build probably has support but I keep getting the operation not permitted error. But definitely a good solid daily driver I finally have it themed to my taste. Here's a couple screenies. Nice work man.

Thats odd, I was always able remount fine.

If you can't use the remount command, use this workaround

adb shell
su
mount -o remount rw /system

replace /system with whatever partition you wish to mount rw.

Yeah shell commands work fine. It's just adb remount/push and pull. So I'm not sure exactly what's going on. I know its not path or variable related because I have no issues with my One or GNex. So idk.
