Root ROM: CyanogenMod 6.1.0-RC1

Here ya go. Its also in Rom Manager.

Yeah, it was slightly delayed getting into ROM Manager for some reason. didn't show up till sometime late last night or this morning for me.

I also read that people can only get the slayher kernel to work with any of the RC's. P3 and Chevy will not boot at this time. I have not verified this myself yet though. I was waiting on the bluetooth issues to be fixed cuz i use that a lot.

I can confirm that the Chevy 1.1Ghz LV Kernel boot loops with RC3, at the M logo.

Damn...

My app problems did go away though with RC3.

Joe

I flashed the P3 250-1100lv and it worked fine. Bluetooth, wifi, 3g, everything worked with no loops. Although, I felt like I had better performance from the stock kernel at a lower speed than I did with the P3.

RC3 is much better than RC1. If you haven't tried it because of a negative experience with RC1, you won't have that here. Try it, I've never seen CM run so fast and smooth!

I've flashed at least 4 different P3 kernels on RC3 and have had no issues. I've also read about others getting bootloops from P3 and Chevy kernels. Must be phone specific. Only answer is guess and check, unfortunately.

Is there REALLY an FM radio application in this ROM? That works? And has anyone experienced any Bluetooth issues? Downloading RC4 now... but just hesitant to try it...

EDIT: Bluetooth WORKS! Not that I can find this mythical FM Radio thingy but on to the tests...

I'm gonna foollow suit and give cm a try. I haven't done a cm rom in months. I've been a ultimatedroid fanboy for easily Three months now but the Bluetooth issue on ud2 is a dealbreaker and I can't get ud1 to restore my apps without all kinds of FC problems. So cm is gonna be the flavor of the moment.

Did you get the FM app working? The only reason I ask is because back in the day (like November 09) some dev dabbled in making it work throught the Bluetooth antenna but I don't think it ever panned out.

I think that whole FM radio thing is an urban legend because I can't find it anywhere  but CM6 seems to be running well on my Droid so far. I'll keep testing and see how battery life is with the stock kernel today.

EDIT: Nice to see that TuneIn has our local radio station on it - COOL!

fm radio wont work on the droid, we dont have the radio in the phone to tune in and pick fm radio band up. i believe its up and working for the nexus one and some other htc phones but it wont work for those of us on the droid.

Tunein rules. It even has the HD Radio Stations. Nice UI too. Best radio app I have seen by far, so far.

Joe

This is true, but I don't recommend it unless you have unlimited data, as it is constantly streaming;) beats Pandora if you ask me.

The FM radio app that CM is referring to in in the RC list is the one they are including with the MIUI roms. It does not work with the Motorola droid, but does work with some other phones.

Anyone else see CM 6.1 RC4 twice in Rom Manager? Is one of them RC5 and they forgot to change the label of it? I don't see any mention of RC5 on the CM forum.

Nevermind. I see a post asking the same question on the CM forum. It is an error...they are both RC4.
