Root [ROM] CyanogenMOD 6.1

Installed CM6.1 Stable. Have 1 minor issue that is bugging me. Phone keeps going in 1X mode. No 3G no matter what I do. Sometimes, several reboots will get the 3G back but then it disappears after some time. Any ideas?

put your phone into airplane mode then take it out. that should solve it. once you reboot you will probably have to do that again.

did you do a full wipe prior to install? if not thats probably your issue, but the AP mode fix should do the trick
 
No FC's here but I am getting unresponsive screen when trying to wake from sleep mode. The weird thing is that it only happens on occasion. Its almost like the governor is not responsiding well from sleep mode. I when I manage to unlock it, it goes SUPER SLOW. Only way to fix is to pull the battery and restart. When it restarts, it works like a charm but some time later it repeats.

By the way...No SETCPU and it has happened with two different kernels. Anyone else?:confused:
 
Hey all. Just came over to 6.1 from MIUI. So far so good.

One quick question: does anyone know if I can use a theme from MIUI with CM? Specifically I was using the SWG theme, and I'm missing the icons now. Everything was looking very nice and uniform.

I know that certain themes are generally specific to the ROM, but I was curious since CM and MIUI are both AOSP if the themes were transferable. Thanks
 
I had one question and one issue:

First, ROM manager gives the option to wipe the cache, etc. when installing the rom. would there be a reason not to? are apps, settings stored int he cache?

Secondly, I've noticed that my apps2sd is broken, in the sense that if i mount the sd card to the comp then unmount, the apps stored on the sd card will force close, the only solution i've figured out was to manually unmount and remount the card in settings. Is that a known issue, and/or anyone else experience this? Tried to use the Googles but nothing came up.

Anyone having issues with beautiful widgets? I flashed 6.1 last night, and when i woke up I check the system panel app to see if any apps were misbehaving. I noticed that beautiful widgets had a cpu time of 10 minutes (usually has 1-2 minutes throughout an entire day). This caused a noticeable drain on my battery. I uninstalled and reinstalled but seems to still be happening. I ran it on virtuous 3.2 and didn't seem to have any problems.
 
Just came over to Dinc from original Droid, was running CyanogenMod 6.1.2 on it, just flashed this version of 6.1 on my Dinc and maxed out SetCPU, and all I can say is that this thing is insanely fast, stable, and buttery smooth. The UI of course, is precisely the same as it was on my OG. I couldn't be happier. CyanogenMod has been my favorite ROM for recent months, and I'm glad it was available for the Dinc.

Everything works... wifi, wireless tether, 3G most of the time, no issues with any apps, sweet perfection!! I love this ROM, and I love my Incredible!!
 
i flashed CyanogenMod tonight, and i dont see an android stock market in my app drawer. im really confused by this! am i missing something here? im new to flashing this was my first one.

It's there, but like other Android releases, it differs from one app to the next (LAME). In the browser it's: Menu > More > Select Text. In text message: long press on the message and select copy. Long press to paste in a text entry field.

Ive tried long pressing on text in the stock mail app to copy my launcher pro code and nothing happened. idk if it has anything to do with the new gingerbread keyboard thats in CyanogenMod?
 
I installed this rom the other day, and so far I'm loving it. Its very fast and smooth. Its my first rom, and there's a noticeable difference from stock.

The only thing is, I'm stuck with the old market. I tried clearing the cache and data, but it hasn't worked. How do I update it?

Did you download and install the most current version of g-apps? If you did a restore from a prior backup, you might have selected an older verson by mistake.

Almost. Place it on your sd card and boot into recovery (volume - and power while phone is off). From there select "install zip from sdcard". Find the zip and select it. Select "Yes" and you are good to go.

Anyone else notice that this rom seems much faster and smoother with LPP running on top of it? The screen transitions are flawless. Even my quadrant scores are higher (for whatever that's worth).

If you didn't download this package through ROM Manager then you will want to flash Google apps.

EDIT: Flash Google apps before rebooting with CM. If you download and flash CM + Google apps through ROM Manager, the application will take care of it for you.
 
Ok, i just rooted this morning and flashed CM and was like wtf where are my google apps, came on here, tried to look in rom manager but i don't have the paid version and was unsure of where to find the google apps. Glad android forums has an answer for everything. Still new to the whole ROM manager interface and trying to get used to this new world of opportunities that awaits with my rooted Inc.

one more question, i really like the way CM runs minus missing a few things from sense and the gingerbread keyboard seems to act silly sometimes, i am having an issue with the led when used for notifications. Can i set it so it only flashes green. I went into the settings and changed it but when i received a notification it flashed from green to orange, any suggestions?
