Root [ROM] DroidSmith_Force - Beta

Flashed 0.2, android logo and then black screen with red indicator light.
EDIT: After several flashes/reboots, it booted up.

Flashed 0.2 beta. Liking it so far. Still having the same problem with connections optimizer. Here's a few screen shots...

EDIT: I see you removed the connections optimizer from the phone. Tethering works but connections optimizer is still showing up in the system settings menu. I guess it force closes cuz it doesnt open anything when you select it. Love the rom so far.

Boot animation doesn't work. Just android logo then black screen then it boots up. Weird cuz the permissions are right and the file name is right. I'll see if just renaming it to bootanimation.zip works.

I changed the boot animation and it worked. I don't know why the one you included didn't work. Not a big deal
I like the one I use anyway.

Ill try to remove connections optimizer from the settings in the next build. What boot animation do you use? And did you simply name it boot animation to get it to work?

Can add a "Reboot To Recovery" option to this menu? [Don't know the name of the menu lol]

0.2.1 is up. I hope that I have fixed the boot animation, but if not the screen will go black and take about 7 minutes to boot on the first boot. I've also take a stab at fixing Face Unlock. I tried to remove connections optimizer from the setting menu, but the phone.apk was being a pain, so I replaced it with the Phone.apk from the avid. This may or may not work. Tester please let me know what you find.

Is it safe to flash gapps to this ROM? I haven't flashed it yet, but I was wondering if gapps is integrated or if it's safe to flash.

Its integrated so you shouldn't need it.
Any app that you want that is missing can be downloaded from the play store

Flashed 0.2.1 boot animation worked. Booted up in less than 2 minutes. Face unlock is not showing up in the lock screen settings. It says its installed in the app manager. Phone menu doesnt let you choose between cdma and lte (3g 4g) but there is an app to get you to the hidden phone settings menu. Heres a couple screen shots.

Do we have to wipe cache dalvik and data when flashing an update? Also I think the stock timer app should be included it was useful and simplistic. I used it for work when I went on break.

Can someone explain exactly why connection optimizer was bloatware? And does anyone know what sdcardchsmeleon does?

You should wipe everything prior to install. You can uses nandroid manager to restore apps from your back up

Well on the warp all it did was run in the background, and didn't improve anything. If that's not the case fore the force I can add it back into the next build.

Well you did actually remove it from the phone in0.2 which fixed my problems so it wasn't a big deal at all. I wouldnt mind if you left connections optimizer on the rom just as long as you could toggle it on and off.

I just need to pull the link to the missing connections optimizer from the settings menu. In order to do that I have to be able to edit the phone.apk which has given me nothing but errors when I attempt to recomplie it. I'm thinking the software on my computer is to far out of date for.working with ics/jb. I'm running debian 6 right now. May update to 7 or run mint
