Root Rom Flashing Help

NEED help!!!!

I recently flashed Android Revolution HD rom 2.0.5, following the instructions on xde-developer forum, i successfully flash it. however, all my apps, contacts, calendar are gone after the flashing. luckily i still got back up somewhere. and painstakingly install back all the apps

if i were to flash to a newer rom again, how do I keep those apps, contacts?

Also after my rom was flashed, my message notification is not working. When new messages come in, the notification icon sometimes is not shown. Otherwise, when it is shown, but after i read the messages, the icon still remains there, until i clear it.

The best way to manage apps is to use 'Titanium Backup', which backups and restores your apps by saving them to the sdcard.

My Backup Root does apps and quite a bit more, although I'm not sure if it covers everything.

I'm sure there are apps for contacts and calenders too. Although I save my contacts and calender to google, so it all just redownloads when I switch to a new ROM.
