sorry for the late response... (it was 1:00 AM lol)

you want to leave it zipped after d/ling. cause it has to be a zip to flash.

so you just want to download it to pc, open it up, edit the widgets.txt, close it back up (leaving it as a zip), put it on your phones sdcard and flash :)
 
Late question, sorry I didn't post this earlier but why the Build.prop change? I am having difficulty of having every app to appear on the list and it is an inconvience for me to reset data for Google Play each time I want to download a particular app, same with updating. Never had this issue before version 2.0
 
Just flashed this rom...seems pretty awesome. Wondering how to overclock and change govenor, cant seem to find it. Keep up the great work guys.

weird....i can't save that file after editing, either. not even on my PC.
 
any HTC-style weather/clock widget recs? i think i've been using 'beautiful widgets', but it keeps resizing/disorienting the widget with this ROM.
 
To be honest this rom is amazing I would say just as good if not better then cm7 and obviously better then cm9 since its still alpha. The main problem I'm getting is battery life. I make sure that I turn everything off to optimize battery life but I only get half a day to a day max with this rom when I usually get at least 2 days with other roms. I love this rom it's smooth and very responsive, maybe it's me just getting bad battery life.

I've never gotten good battery life with this phone, let alone this rom. It lasts me less than a day and I'm always run to the charger. But yes, more battery tweaks are welcome!
 
As far as battery life goes I think it is right on with cm7 no real difference maybe better this is Android and manufacturers are starting to come around and putting better batteries in them like the new moto droid

You have to take the .txt file out of the .zip using 7zip or the like first, then edit it and save it, then replace it in the .zip
 
I miss this rom, and yet I don't really miss the phone lol. I went back to the OV because almost all my calls were going straight to voice mail, and my job is quite important to me :P So reception is a must, along with GPS is just awesome to have again lol. But i dropped by the page and saw 2.0, and I was just like shit... i wish i could of tested it out, i last ran 1.4. Kid i sold it to just made me flash a basic deoxed version, he doesn't want any rom, even though i suggested keeping this one. But you guys are still doing a great job as always. I was curious how the petition went, if anything broke down?
 
There was a feature on GB roms where you could "longpress back button to kill app". Anyway to get this on a froyo rom? Or should I use a task killer? (Never have but willing if it's a good idea.)
 
Hello android forum! i'm a new user here and I have 2 questions about this rom that i haven't really been able to find the answers to on this forum. I was wondering if anyone was having trouble getting haptic feedback to work on the 2.0 version? my feedback is completely silent. also, if anyone knows how to get rid of that second battery icon on the top under the notifications bar, i would be very grateful to hear how :)
 
hi, i downloaded the froyocream sandwich and am trying to use the beta swype, but it seems to get hung up in downloading. Do you know if swype works on this rom or should i use another rom. I have the motorola triumph.

yea swype works great on this rom actually. try restarting your phone. or clearing your browser data. then it should work :D
 
Thanks for this! I've had this phone for a week and this stopped the need for multiple restarts each day.

I chose this rom so I can have the chance to try hdmi when my cables arrive.
CPU control increased my battery life noticeably at work. I set it at 61/460mhz when I leave it on my desk.

I am soooo glad to have the startup and shutdown ani's change from VM's!

I have to do something about my SD card because all my old apps are on it just taking up space and the phone wont reformat it.

I wanted to upgrade to a larger card anyway.

This is my second ever android device. My first is the Pocket Edge and I still use it.
