Root Rom Help Please

Quite a story.

If you did a factory data reset, you've got your phone back to the way it was from the store.

Have a look in settings > about phone > software information.

Tell us what you see for kernel, etc.

What was this "update" you're speaking of?

Just restart. The quickest and best sollution. Go back to the thread you rooted from and re-root. You've done it once shouldn't take to long the second time. To see if your rooted open up terminal and type "su" without the quotes. If you get a # your still rooted. You may have just deleted your recovery image in which case just re-install the recovery image from the same directions you used the first time.

I have no idea what the update was it was a screen I have never seen before. As for the kernel it is 2.6.29-5898f66b
Htc-kernel@and18-2#1

Maybe more importantly when you boot hold send and power. That will put you in fastboot then tell us what your bootloader version is. 1.4xxx S-OFF(ON)

Indeed.

That boot loader is the biggy.

I just thought he'd lost the ability to use those menus in the device during all the troubles.
