Root [ROM] IncDoes Desire Z

Another one of his twitter posts said he'll start developing again once the Incredible HD is released. The source was released for this ROM (and I'm going to assume his other ROMS too) so that others can take it over and continue to iron out the bugs.

"I have some family things to take care of... Ill maybe begin developing again when the Inc.HD is out."

Reinstalled this ROM after the camera fix and I gotta say, this ROM kicks ass!
Quadrant score of 1651 with the kernel(no overclock) provided in the second post at XDA forums.
Definitely a keeper now.
 
Camera fix is up. Can't decide if I want to wipe/rebuild my phone while at work. Could bite me if the ROM doesn't work and I have to go on-site somewhere.
 
Now that the camera is fixed, I flashed this. Wow! I'll probably never switch to another ROM unless it has the new Sense. Keep in mind that the camcorder still doesn't work, but man, I really hope another dev(s) pick this up and fix that one issue, because it is awesome.
 
Finally! I've been waiting for this. I finally feel like my phone is "stock" again. lol Seriously, it's a sweet ROM. Still learning the in's and out's of it. Anyone else getting any Force Close with the battery management?
 
I may be stupid, here, but does anyone know how to sync contacts/calendar with Outlook, using the HTC Sync desktop program?

The only force closes I've gotten are with the multi-touch keyboard, but I don't even care. What is the battery management issue you're having? I mean, where are you getting the FC?
 
OK, so the camera works but not the camcorder? Qik does not work at all and if you try to run Qik, it makes the camera not work until you reboot. This ROM is still very buggy.

I'm not having any battery management issue at all, just during set up, it kept giving me that force close, haven't seen it since.
 
HeThis is by far the best ROM I've used so far. SkyRaider has been my base ROM since its release (SkyRaider is fantastic) and, besides the camcorder, it is the fastest and most innovative sense ROM I have used yet. Overclocking at 1.13 was unstable for me, but supposedly good for some. In my opinion, I feel as though I have a new phone with this ROM. Great work to the dev!!! As for noobs! Keep on this forum, not others, for help. These guys made me an android hero with kindness and concern, not other forums!!!!!!!!!!
 
I've had no issues with the ROM so far. I didn't know the camcorder didn't work. I rarely, if ever, use that functionality on my phone anyway. It's not a deal breaker to me. I'd love to see some other dev pick this up and run with it though.
 
Working Cam Kernel if you are having camcorder issues, use the kernel at this post on XDA. I changed and now, my stock camcorder does not work BUT, Qik camcorder does. I use Qik about 90% of the time when I use the camcorder with my phone since it is so much easier to upload to youtube. Now, here's hoping that battery life and performance doesn't suffer with this new kernel. It's one of Chad's kernels.
 
Anyone getting permanent syncing issues, or know how to fix it? I had this problem for a bit with Virtuous, and I don't remember how I solved it.

Edit- Never mind, removing Friendstream is the cause. D'oh. Anyone got the apk?
 
After a little tweaking and deleting some bloat I recently ran quadrant and came out with this :)

I got rid of facebook, peep, car panel, app sharing, just stuff I would never use. Then I shut off wifi, gps, did a fresh reboot shut off sync and background data. Slightly went to 1.075ghz and set it to Ondemand in setcpu. Then ran quadrant 3 times hit 1801 then ran it one more time got 1808. Also put in my new Patriot 4GB Class 10 sd card :)
 
Ahh, Facebook and Car Panel I use a lot, so I won't get my number up that high, but this ROM is really fast.
 
Just uninstall facebook real quick then redownload it from the market. 1800 is a sweet number to hit. It's like the max this phone will ever do
 
I really like the idea of this ROM. I mean I have tried make it work for me. Issues I have with the ROM:

1) I will be talking on the phone and the screen will lock and sound like it dropped my call. As I swipe the phone to unlock it the person I was talking to is still there, but couldn't hear me or I couldn't hear them. It happens at least once per day.

2) Random reboots, TONS of them. At least 3 or 4 per day.

3) Phone simply goes off and WON'T reboot, it's just locks up. I have to do a battery pull to get it to reboot.

I wiped all data, cache, davlik cache, etc before I installed. I did install my backed up apps from Titanium Backup. I didn't install ANY data from Titanium Backup, only apps and no system apps. I restored my phone to MIUI, but probably am heading back to Virtuous. It's the most stable Sense Rom that I've ever used since rooting. I'll keep tabs here and at XDA to see if anyone ever takes this ROM and does new things with it. I hope so, it's sooo blazing fast and so smooth.

I have issue 2 and 3 as well. Though I only get 1-2 reboots a day, and I have only had to pull the battery twice.

This ROM is so awesome that I am willing to deal with the bugs.
 
I've never had any of those issues. I have had an issue where the ROM just locks up and is unresponsive. I fire up Watchdog and it's always Android System that is taking up 95% of processor time. I reboot and everything works fine. This seems to pop up every couple of days.
