Root Rom issues...

Hello everyone, just one question. I rooted my phone earlier today and installed the rom manager. I flashed clockwork mod and then tried flashing bionix 1.3.1 with both the download option, and I also tried putting the zip file manually on my phone. I tried flashing the clockworkmod recovery to vibrant and vibrant(mtd). Either way I do it, it will go through the process where it asks for the rom preinstallation , I click ok, and then I click ok when it asks to press ok to reboot into clockworkmod recovery and continue the installation. Upon doing that, it boots up within 5 seconds and opens the android system recovery screen where my only real option is to reboot my phone. What am i doing wrong?
 
try hitting reinstall packages in the recovery mode. it could take you a couple tries before you get into the clockwork mode. ofc if you installed it correctly
