I dont use APP2SD or the other one and my dalvik cache still crashes
You can still use what I specified above to confirm which portion causes an issue, data or system partition

Still no go on trying to get wireless drivers to work with 2.3.3... I need someone to try something though. If I replace wireless.ko from 2.1 it errors out the wifi. That's possibly because the kernel support is different, so we'd need to have someone try to rollback kernel + libs as I've stated before. If I make a package to switch over and a package to rollback, can I get someone to test it out for me? Only problem with that is if it does end up working (And black screens are gone), we'll need Jiilik to make a 2.1 kernel with the same mods as 2.3.3 (App2SD, AVS, overclocking, etc.) if possible.
Thanks!
I wish you the best of luck in your new new job and I will miss having your input on the forum. Thanks for all your support and efforts.I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do here. The kernel from 2.1 will not work with the new radio image without some black magic that I don't understand. We could load that kernel, but lose access to the radio - phone stops being a phone and ends up being a nice PDA. Forward porting the kernel modules from 2.1 probably won't help 2.3.3 either, since most of the work is not done in the module, but rather, it's done in firmware (which, again, requires black magic).
I think you folks are barking up the wrong tree (could of course be wrong myself), but I think it's just a script somewhere on the phone that's unloading/reloading the wireless drivers when the phone goes to sleep. Poke around in the various .rc files to see what I mean.
I just started a new job and moved across the country, so I won't be able to do much for a while. I'm happy enough with the current state of my phone anyway. Good luck folks (feel free to fork/reuse my previous work... see the kernel OC thread for details on the only kernel patching I've done).
Cheers

As for baseband, it does not handle the wifi portion, only handles GSM signal.

Hi I am having difficulties downloading 2.3, the only link which is working for me to download is from the original jiilik's which shows how to root and install a sample rom. Can someone please give me a few tips on how to get 2.3 on my shine plus.
Thanks very much
Andrew
I tried both steps from post #124 and it still crashes. Once I reboot it works fine but I do a second reboot just to test it out and I still get FC. I did both steps. I don't have any app on sd at all
