Root ROM manager and UD 9.8.0

It's been awhile since I've done an update...I'm on Ult Droid 9.0.0. I noticed that there are no ROM Manager instructions for 9.8.0 but that he states you have to do a wipe and clear cache prior to installing the update. Do you still do all this through the ROM manager? Or is there another way to install this that is "better?" Thanks.

I have tried to load via ROM Manager several times and it results in the same problem. When you get to screen where you have to touch the Droid dude to continue, nothing happens. I think some have luck loading this ROM via the nandroid method. I'm going to try that today.

Go to Ultimatedroid.com, download the full update + theme, save to your SD card. Then rename it through Astro to update.zip, and reboot with power+X key. It's really not difficult, and my install was flawless.
