Root Rom Manager Backup

Rom Manager doesn't back up my ROM. It reboots and comes up with an image of a phone with a huge red warning triangle and sits there for hours (I left it overnight last night) I have re-flashed ClockworkMod and tried again since, but I still get the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas what may be up?

Mine does the same.
As long as you have the RUU for your phone on your pc, & the rom of your choice on the sdcard, don't worry about it.

I wasn't too worried as I'm still on a stock ROM, just don't wanna cock it up another time and not be able to use the backup

Silly question (as i'm not entirely sure what i'm waffling about) but have you sorted your radio before trying to backup/flash a rom?

I've just perm rooted my DHD & i've just installed rom manager backup & its worked perfectly for me as i (i think its called) s-off'd radio (i could be wrong so please don't take what i've put as gospel).

Theres an app called Easy Radio Tool which sorts out your radio then allows you to install & back up your rom.

having the same problem as the op and cannot boot into clockworkmod recovery, just get the red triangle/exclamation mark. the phone is rooted and working perfectly but i need to boot in clockwork to install a zip from SD, ive done this many times on a wildfire and desire, are we missing something obvious???

pmac10 try the link i just posted cause i've managed to get it working. All i did was use the root soft, clockwork backup & that app i just posted.

at #8, thanks Aiden, ill give that a go, unfortunately its not my phone so probably wont have the chance until next weekend, dont understand though why i need to mess with radio settings, is this process a lot different to the standard desire?
gottta go now and slum it with my gingervillian desire,
